I have been experimenting with a breakaway wingtip to improve on the silhouette of my design to match the real F14 better, while still being print-in-place and articulated. The wingtip breaks of with a satisfying snap and leaves a nice clean edge. I have also adjusted the wing shape and the angle of the tail fins. I have also included a version with a brim

*edit 10.24.21 Added a tiny version (100), keep in mind it is a challenging print and requires a well calibrated printer, good filament and finetuned profile

*edit 10.23.21 Added articulated eggs for this version of the Jet Fighter

*edit 10.07.21 added a larger version (300). If you want to print the stands for it you have to upscale the stands to 150%

you should make the f-35 or even f-32 next

After many failed prints, I have to suggest that the snap off wingtips are an issue.
The real end of the wings is not adequately supported by the little snap-off tip. This means that each of the 4 prints I have done has failed at around layer 50 to 60. I am using an Ender 3 V2 and am keeping the print speed down around 20mm/s with a 0.12mm layer height. I love the project and I love the work you've put into it so far however this is a bit of a flaw.
Is there any chance you can adjust the design to have a thicker interface between the wing and the snap-off tip? I'd be happy to test print if you can adapt it...

Hello! Very nice models, and suggestions on infill? 35-45mm/s which speed do you mean? As there are many speeds one can tune. Cheers thanks!

Are those supports on the end of the wings or something?
