XL and Not So.. XL April Showers Goose: Assembly Guide Models: XL (60cm / 24”) & Not So XL (46cm / 18”) Congratulations on starting your April Showers Goose! While both sizes share the same design, the connectors are custom-tuned for their respective scales to ensure a perfect fit right off the build plate. Assembly Essentials
- Dry Fit First: Always perform a "dry build" without glue to ensure you understand part alignment before making it permanent.
- Perspective: When I refer to "Left" and "Right," imagine you are the goose looking forward!
- Material Choice: * Indoor: PLA is great.
- Outdoor: Use PETG.
- High Heat: If you live in a very hot climate, consider ASA or ABS to prevent warping.
- Scaling: If you scale the model down further, you may need to reduce the connector size by an additional 1–2%. Recommended Filaments
- Raincoat, Boots & Hat: Turquoise & Sunflower Yellow
- Body & Head: White
- Beak : Pumpkin Orange
- Eyes: Black
- Base: Transparent Blue (PLA for Not So XL / PETG for XL) Printing Tip: For the 3mf files, supports are pre-enabled. Set your Top Z distance to 0.275mm for the easiest support removal. Step-by-Step Build
- The Base: Slide the two specialised Base-to-Boot connectors into the water base, then attach the Boots.
- Boot Tops: Insert two standard connectors into the top of each boot, then slide on the Boot Tops.
- Lower Body: Place the Lower Body onto the boots. Insert 5 connectors into the top of this section.
- The Jacket: Slide the Yellow & Turquoise Jacket onto the lower body. Insert 2 connectors into the top of the jacket.
- Head & Face: * Mount the Head onto the jacket.
- Press the Beak onto its connector (it’s a snug fit!).
- Insert the Eyes into the sockets on either side.
- Secure the Hat using its built-in connector.
- The Arms: Insert 2 connectors into each arm and slide them into the jacket sleeves.
- Final Touches: Glue the 3 Buttons directly onto the front of the jacket. These do not use connectors. Congratulations! Your April Showers Goose is ready to face the rain.

I just love it.. Would you think of an accessory like an Umbrella or even small ducklings with rain coats? Will start printing the not so XL version tomorrow and hope to have it ready to put out on Monday ;) Thanks for a (so far) fab design.
