Doom Eternal - Super Shotgun
Here is a faithful recreation of the Super Shotgun from Doom Eternal.
This is a full scale replica so it approximaitly 845mm x 227mm x 170mm when printed. Its broken into 170 individual parts so it can be printed in a 200mm x 200mm x 200mm print volume. This also makes printing, painting and assembly easier as well. The reason for that number of parts is because a lot of the decorate inlays are seperate parts to allow you to print those at finer detail and print the larger items in a lower detail.
Disclaimer:- The model is a recreation of a game prop and not as a whole, or in part, a real weapon.
The meat hook is detachable and when completly printed and assembled will have a few chain links to attach with so it can detach and swing like in the game. The breach also opens and closes
There are accompaning drawings that detail the assembly of the prop to help through the build. One page of these is in the images on the page.
If you want to go for the full detailed prop, there is a modelled shell ejection mechanism which will require following the accompaning drawings which details the additional fasteners and springs needed for those assemblies.
Print Settings The material you use depends on your climate and how you plan to use it but I would suggest 2-3 perimeters (shells) and 25% infill for the large items and 3-4 perimeters adn 40% infill for the smaller items especially with thin geometry.
Many of the inlay items can be resin printed, hence the reason for the number of parts so using the most appropriate printing type for their respective parts.
