Serviceable FEP Frame – Anycubic Photon
3D model description I designed a replacement FEP frame for the Anycubic Photon because original replacements are becoming difficult to find and many existing designs online are not very reliable.
This version is fully serviceable, meaning you can easily replace the FEP film without needing a new frame.
The design has been tested on my own printer, and after several iterations it works reliably.
Hardware Required
14 × M2.5 heat set inserts (L4 × OD3.5)
14 × M2.5 × 6 mm countersunk flat head screws
FEP Installation
Cut a piece of standard FEP film slightly larger than the frame.
Place the FEP between the two frame parts.
Install the screws and tighten them evenly.
After tightening, trim the excess FEP around the edges.
Installation on the Vat
Mount the assembled FEP frame onto the vat.
Tighten the vat screws in a cross pattern, gradually and evenly.
Notes
I printed 5 prototypes before achieving the final fit and tension. The frame has been tested on my own Anycubic Photon and works correctly.
