Star Wars - Lars Homestead / Desk organizer
Starting my journey into 3D printing coming from a VFX background. I decided to work on something with a relatively simple shape, complex textures and some usefulness. After a rewatch of Star Wars Ep4 - The Lars homestead stood out. Mirrored geometry, layers of materials, and the use as a key bowl came to mind. It was a great first project as I learnt a tonne about modeling for real objects, Bambu studio, general printing techniques and painting.
PRINTING I print all prototypes on my Bambu P2S using generic grey, PLA, 0.4mm Nozzle Two prints - taking around 5 hours for the Base and 7 hours for the Lid
Default settings should work OK For my prototype I used 3 walls 15% infill - honeycomb
Base specific settings- auto tree supports (tiny)
Lid specific settings- auto tree supports with 2 walls, and a wide skirt of 50mm- it should rip off the underside of the dome when you remove the print.
