Not So XL Leprechaun Assembly Guide The Not So XL Leprechaun is designed for standard build plates below 300 by 300 by 300 millimeters. It is the same model as the XL version but optimized for a more compact printing experience without sacrificing detail. Quick Printing Specs Supports are required. A support threshold of twenty six is recommended to keep cleanup to a minimum. Infill recommendations are as follows. Larger pieces should use five to six percent infill. Smaller pieces and connectors should use ten to twelve percent infill. Left and Right directions are from the model perspective as if it is looking outward not from your perspective looking at the build plate. Fitment and Scaling Always dry fit all parts before applying glue. Connectors can be snug especially in areas where supports were used. If they are too tight reduce the connector scale by one to two percent in your slicer. If scaling the model down further remember that tolerances tighten quickly. Print a test part and its connector first. You may need to scale the connectors down an additional one to two percent beyond the rest of the model to maintain a good fit. Suggested Filaments Recommended colors include mistletoe green orange white maroon red brown gold green and beige for skin tones. For the rock and base cement grey and rainbow style filament are recommended. The Build Process Phase 1 The Base and Legs Begin with the base. Choose either the plain grass base or the shamrock base. If using the shamrock base insert the larger shamrock into the rock place the rock onto the base and then insert the smaller shamrocks into their slots. Insert the base to leg connectors. Slide the left and right boots on until fully seated. Insert the two boot buckles. Slide the legs onto the boot connectors. Phase 2 The Torso and Arms Insert the two small body connectors and attach the main body to the legs. Insert the arm connectors and attach the left and right arms. Insert the arm to hand connectors and attach the hands. The left hand may not stay in place during a dry fit and this is normal. Insert the shirt piece into the front of the main body. Insert two body to head connectors and one body to back hair connector into the top of the body. Phase 3 The Head Sub Assembly It is recommended to assemble the head separately before mounting it to the body. Insert the two face to back hair connectors into the rear of the face. Insert the beard to face connectors into the underside of the face. Slide the back hair into place. Slide the beard upward onto the face and gently push it over the cheeks if needed. Insert the side hair connectors and press the side hair into place. Insert the eyebrows before attaching the front hair as the front hair locks the left eyebrow in place. Assemble the eyes in this order. Insert the outer black pieces first followed by the white pieces and then the blue pieces. Insert the inner black pieces making sure the left and right sides are correct. Place the reflections at the top left of each eye. Phase 4 Final Touches Place the completed head onto the main body connectors. Insert two hat connectors and slide the brim into place. Slide the hat stripe on. Insert two more connectors and attach the top of the hat. Attach the small buckle to the hat. When ready for glue attach the buttons to the front of the body. Choose either the single gold coin or multiple gold coins for the pot and slot the pot into the right hand. Congratulations you have successfully built the Not So XL Leprechaun
