This is probably a niche design, but I thought there may be others out there with a similar dilemma, so I thought I'd share my design for a salt and pepper mill dehumidifier.

I own two of the original design Peugeot salt and pepper mills (the ones I have are the Paris design, as shown in the photograph). For reference, they are 22cm tall and about 60mm in diameter at the base. Due to high humidity in the kitchen, I kept getting moisture in the salt, which stopped it from dispensing properly, so I decided to make a holder for the mills that would sit on a tray for a bed of rice, which would hopefully absorb any moisture from the salt and keep it working.

What you see here is my first attempt at such a design. It comes in two parts:

A Gridfinity 4x4 bin with a lip to support the tray A tray that fits inside the bin and rests on the lip The tray snugly holds the salt and pepper mills to stop them falling out and the bottom of each circular cut out for the mills is full of holes, allowing the rice in the tray below to absorb moisture from the mills.

I've only just printed them out and filled up the rice tray so time will tell if they work. I thought I'd share them in case anyone else might benefit from my design. If someone wants to edit them, I've supplied the Fusion file as well for you to tweak.
