Dice-tower for hardcore tabletop gaming - probably not this one. But a dice-tower for family gaming - oh yes!

Having kids, I know the feeling of saying: throw the dice - and then I need to pick it up in the other end of the living room, because they threw them as far as possible!.. But this is a way to prevent that - have fun while the dice stay on the table for some cozy gaming time.

The Rainbow Dice Tower is full of color - and it can be printed without any multi-material systems. It's all 3D-printed. Let the game begin!

Overview

The dice tower is made in parts, for you to assemble and enjoy in the color combo you like! It’s makde in a size so that it can be printed on compact-sized printers with a max print height of 180 mm. It consists of the following parts:

  • Base (and dice tray)
  • Center (the column that keeps it all together)
  • Stair (uses 21 Stair-parts - and every Stair-part actually consists of 2 steps printed at once)
  • Stair Top (almost identical - can use ordinary stair part too)

Assembly

This is pretty straight forward - and requires no glue and no screws!

  • Snap of printed supports of the Stair-parts
  • Press every Stair-part into the Center-part (Start from the bottom. It's a snap-fit - not easy to pull out afterwards, and requires a little force to press in)
  • Screw the Center onto the Base
  • Have fun!

Print instructions

Should be somewhat easy to print - but here is a few tips:

  • Supports: Yes on the Stair-parts supports - NO supports on Center and Base
  • Brim: Maybe. It can help with bed adhession on the Center - but not needed on Base and Stairs
  • Orientation: The parts should be oriented correctly

Happy printing!
