Pinzgauer Cup Holder
A field-ready 3D-printable cup holder designed for NZDF vehicles, inspired by the classic pinny cup holder setup. This design mounts directly to legacy radio brackets (e.g., Tait/PRC mounts) using standard 3M screws and lock-nuts, making it simple to retrofit without modifying the vehicle permanently.
Purpose:
Provide soldiers with a sturdy, easy-to-install cup/mug holder inside vehicles.
Reuse existing radio mounting holes and hardware for a no-drill solution.
Fit multiple cups for shared crew use during long drives or shifts.
Features: • Triple-ring cup holder design (fits standard NZDF mess mugs and bottles). • Flat mounting plate sized to line up with old radio mount holes. • Mounting pattern optimized for 3M screws + nylock nuts (included in model). • Drain holes at base to avoid pooling of liquid. • Reinforced ring edges for heavy mugs or insulated bottles. • Modular — can be scaled or mirrored for left/right mounting. • Compact profile so it doesn’t interfere with comms gear or dashboard controls.
Recommended materials & print settings: • Material: PETG or ASA for heat resistance inside vehicles. PLA for testing only. • Walls: 4 perimeters for durability. • Infill: 20–30% minimum. • Orientation: Print mounting plate flat; rings upright with supports if needed. • Post-print: Add washers to distribute stress from screws.
