Jano leafs: The DIY "Nanoleaf" inspired model series is back with a new interwoven three-dimensional design!

These models are simple to print, require less printed parts than earlier Jano-Leaf designs and still only require a few additional electronics to make your own amazing lighting decor for your office, game room, or wherever you want to add your own custom lighting! Simply print the diffusers, adhere the led- rings to the diffuser, wire them up in the pattern of your choosing, and connect them to a microcontroller and power supply and DONE! You have your own set of Jano-Leafs, customizable with whatever colors and effects you want!

Two model options! LED and Non-LED version. Print the LED versions that have circular cutouts on each end for wire management or print the non LED version if you just want a few decor panels in whatever colors you want to print. The choice is yours!

INSTRUCTIONS

For LED Version: Print these in a cool white PLA/PETG for best lighting effects! (these are two that I've used and are great!)

Print these with the inner tabs down on the build plate. It should look almost like a pyramid with the crest (point) of the diffuser at the highest point.

-Brim recommended -No supports needed as long as bed adhesion is decent on your printer and sufficient brim. I advise printing 2 at a time max. May need support on circular cutouts if your printer's overhang settings aren't the best. -Infill: 50-100% -Perimeters/walls: 2-3

ELECTRONICS NEEDED

For wiring up the LED's, this is what I used for the pattern of 9 panels that's shown in the picture. These recommendations are for the number of LED's I used but will depend on your number of leds used. Please note that adding more LED's than what's shown here WILL require additional power requirements. I used a few pieces of 3m double sided tape to adhere the led rings to each of the three tabs on the interior side. I then used high strength command strips on the backside of each tab to mount each panel to the wall.
