This unique EMD electric locomotive could have changed the face of US freight railroading. The HO model is designed to accept the motor and trucks from a Kato SD40-2. You'll also need 2-56 screws to assemble the model. To finish my model, I used KV Models EMD stanchions with Tichy 0.015″ phosphor bronze wire for the handrails. I also used Sommerfeldt single-arm pantographs. The N scale model is resized from the HO model and will require additional fabrication and experimentation to fit to a mechanism.
