Clarinet Stand for B Flat/A Clarinet
A clarinet stand made to fit B flat and A clarinets, although I think it could fit other types as well. The legs are inserted partway through printing the bottom half, which seals them in place and gives the legs more strength. The stand legs also fold up and are stored inside of the hollow top, allowing the whole stand to be stored in the bell of the clarinet.
Print settings:
- Top: Cubic Infill 10%, 0.2 layer height, tree supports touching build plate.
- Legs: Cubic Infill 30%, 0.2 layer height, tree supports touching build plate.
- Bottom: Cubic Infill 10%, 0.2 layer height, no supports.
I printed my stands in Elegoo PLA+, but PLA would probably work fine.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Make sure to print the legs BEFORE printing the bottom! To insert the legs, pause the bottom print at layer 52, or 10.4 millimeters. Insert the legs so that the thicker side is facing up. You will feel a bit of resistance and then the leg will pop into place (there are two bridges over each hole that will break away when you put the legs in). See images for reference. Then, continue the print.
If you have any questions/comments/concerns/suggestions, let me know in the comments below. I might be able to change things, but I'm still pretty new to Onshape.
Feel free to take the STEP files and remix them for other instruments, too!
