Endless Design Lab’s Original Level One Sierpiński Snowflake Fractal Pyramid is a simple yet elegant introduction to this original and mesmerizing fractal series. Designed for vase mode printing, this model highlights the beauty of fractal geometry while being very quick and easy to print. (Just 15 Minutes!)

Key Features -

Modular Design: Half of the fractal can be displayed as a Hexagonal Pyramid, but for the complete Hexagonal Bipyramid form, print two halves and glue them together at the base.

Vase Mode Ready: Optimized for vase mode printing. Print without a bottom layer for intricate designs or with the bottom layer for easier assembly when gluing halves.

Cross-Section Exploration: Explore different cross-sections of the fractal—each slice reveals a unique design, offering endless inspiration.

Print Settings:

This model was created and optimized for FDM printers with vase mode enabled. For best results, use spiral vase mode WITHOUT the "smooth spiral" option checked in your slicer settings. If you don’t see the "smooth spiral" checkbox in your slicer, no worries—just be sure to use Spiralize Outer Contour (or a similarly named option in your slicer, such as spiral/vase mode).

Ensure your slice gap closing radius is set to 0, as this is critical for proper vase mode printing. Without this setting, the slicer may close gaps that are necessary for the model to print correctly.

Printing Tip: For best results, enable the “Skirt” option in your slicer to ensure consistent nozzle pressure from the start. Skipping the skirt may cause a “funny” or deformed corner on the first layer, because the nozzle pressure won’t be properly primed when the print begins.

While this may sound complicated, slicing this model is actually simple and straightforward as long as you follow the instructions. However, if you find yourself having trouble, I’m happy to help!
