Iron Man Mk 39/Starboost Motorization Kit
For use with the Free Do3D Starboost helmet. I found that their included motorization kit did not work at all, so I made my own. It maintains compatibility with their faceplate's magnet mounts, so you can both move the helmet up and down as well as take it off.
I printed mine in PETG at 100% scale, but other filaments will probably work fine as well. "Side Joint Adaptor", "Side arm", and "Servo arm extender" all are the wearer's left side versions - mirror them for the right side. The "Side Joint Adaptor" should press fit over the nubs on the Do3D motorized helmet ("main Mk 39 helmet from Do3D.stl"), but will likely need to be glued in place. Similarly, the Servo Mount should fit into the nub at the top of the helmet, with the longer side (and bigger rounded part) towards the front opening. The "Side arm" should have the short end toward the top, bending inward towards the center of the helmet. I use plastic gears 9g servos, but I suspect metal gear ones will work as well. The servo horn included with the servos should fit into the "Servo arm extender", which you then screw to the servo. The magnets inserted into "Faceplate Adapter" are the same 8mm x 2mm magnets used on the Do3D faceplate.

Downloaded this but the support arms aren’t long enough. I do have a 115% helmet but it works fine but then isn’t long enough
It seems like there is an issue with the facemask part, as it has a bunch of non-manifold edges, and Orca will not slice them correctly
use bamboo to repair them then slice it
i just downloaded but i was just wondering what the tinfoil is for?
its so when the face plates on the eyes get power
Any chance you could upload a quick video that shows how to mount it?
what kind of board do you use to connect the servos to to remote control them?
