MALLA MINI | Woven Table Lamp E14/26/27
MALLA MINI | Woven Table Lamp E14/26/27
Here is mini version of the MALLA woven table lamp. It completes my MALLA Collection of 4 woven lamps:
- Table lamps
- Pendant light
- Wall light.
It has a diameter of Ø120mm, the base is 90mm tall, and the shade 200mm tall.
DIMENSIONS (shade) Ø120mm H 200mm
DIMENSIONS (base) Ø120mm H 90mm
The base can accomodate either E14 or E26/27 light bulb sockets. There's a print file for each type.
The woven pattern (printed here in PETG) diffuses the light beautifully. It can be printed by any printer with a classic 0.4mm nozzle.
Happy printing!
3D PRINT SETTINGS: All STL files are already oriented properly. You need to print 2 parts:
- a base, with 2 versions available (for E14 or for E26/27 sockets)
- a shade
THE SHADE: On the 3D model, the front face of the shade appears full. It's normal. To achieve the woven pattern of the front face of the shade, you have to turn off the top and bottom layers (set to 0), and pick an infill pattern of your choice (gyroid pattern on the pictures) with about 30% infill. On top of that, for 0.4mm nozzles, push the "infill line width" to 0.6mm to make the weave of the front face nice and strong. The items in the pictures were printed with a 0.4mm nozzle.
To ensure a super clean and sticky first layer, push the "initial layer line width" to 0.8mm.
Layer height: 0.3 mm (no less, no more) Line width: 0.5mm (for a 0.4mm nozzle, so as to extrude a bit more material and achieve a cleaner weave) First layer line width: 0.8mm Wall line count (perimeter walls): 2 Top layers: 0 Bottom layers: 0 Infill: 30% Infill pattern: gyroid Infill line width: 0.6mm Infill-wall overlap: 50% Build adhesion type: None Supports: None
For Bambu Lab users, make sure to:
- turn OFF "slow down for overhangs"
- set "wall generator" to "arachne".
THE BASE: No particular tricks for the base. I used 0.28mm per layer, 15% infill and added some fuzzy skin:
- fuzzy skin thickness: 0.2mm
- fuzzy skin point distance: 0.6mm
Happy printing!

I had the same problem as the user info.robothead — the base and the shade are loose. I can only show you how it happens by sending a video...
the shade and base do not fit well, they are too loose. they do not fit tightly.
Really? Which filaments did you use? I printed the shade in PETG, and the base in PLA, and the fit is pretty tight. It might differ a bit if you use PLA for both or other materials.
