The Gripper Grabber! - Intermediate

This design was inspired by those claw machines with stuffed animals inside. But now you actually can have full control over the claw! This design is the prequel to the next grabber tool that is coming out a few days after this one. Special thanks to Status Symbol for conceptualizing this model and paving the way with his prototypes.


How does it work? There is a spring on the axis that pushes the fingers open. When the trigger is pulled, the axis is pulled back which closes the fingers. By the way: the spring is the same spring as the Cactus Toothpick Holder, to make things easier if you already did (or want to) print that model.

Print in Place? The entire top section of the grabber is designed to print in place to make assembly super easy. A few screws, snap in trigger, and sliding handle and you're ready to start grabbing. Getting this design to print in place was just as mind bending as it seems, but its finally working great (:
