Buster Sword Apex x FF Mashup
This ready to print model is in total about 1,80 m long. It consists 62 individual pieces which are separated to be printed in the according colors.
I have implemted holes for a round rod / dowel. The lenght of each rod should be 900 mm.
So far I included two versions of rod 23 mm (watch out this is exactly 23mm as my dowels which sold as 23 mm diamater where undersized), and 20 mm. This one has +0,4 mm tolerance so you can slide it in easier. If you need another one please let me know!
I used M8 threaded rods for the prototype and I wouldnt recommend that as they bend a lot due to the weight. In the end I used 23 mm wooden dowels which were much stiffer!
Each file has the according color in the file name. If the file needs support I also included this in the file name. (There are only 3 files which need supports, all other files print support free!)
I will give you some estimates on how much filament you need for the print, as this can heavily vary on your print settings:
- Gold: ~ 1kg
- Brown: < 1kg
- Black: < 2kg
- Light grey: < 2kg
- Mid grey: < 2kg I recommend printing the handle with 4 perimeters, this has the most stress. Go for more weight on the lower section on the sword and lower density / weight on the blade pieces, then it wont be as top heavy. You can do 2 perimeters and 5-8% infill for the blade pieces.
Update 28.05.: Added 24 mm dowel version :)
Please read the assembly instruction before assembly. ;)

Great! Appreciate that it went together nicely! :)
Not sure if it's just me, but the main "big parts" of the sword are missing from the download. Can I get some assistance/verification? Thanks!
Very sorry! It´s fixed now all three hole versions are uploaded. Watch out for the file name with XX mm at the end. You do not have to print all version, just the one that suites you :)
Sorry! I'll check that asap
Appreciate you good sir!
far to messy file system I'm going to end up missing or printing extra parts
Step 1: Decide which inner rod diamater you want to have (Check the files with "mm" at the end) Step 2: Print the files you just selected Step 3: Print everything which doesn´t have mm at the end Done :) I usually tend to organize everything in folders for my files, but that´s at the moment not possible here. Sorry!
