When I add to the slicer it's saying to use a .2 nozzle. Is that what's recommended?
Hi, You want to use a .4mm nozzle not a .2mm.
Hello, first of all, love your creations and i have printed a few of your things so far but I'm having problems assembling this print. I have put everything together as per instructions. I have noticed if i push in the top part all the way it just grinds when spinning so i dont push it all the way.. is this normal? and i cant seem to get the switch games popping up when spinning. I have the magnets in the correct way too.
Hi, I'm glad you like the models. Let's see if I can help fix this issue for you. Is the Bearing grinding or the print itself? Can you take it apart and see if you can see any where that the pieces may be rubbing together?
The link goes to 5mm and 6mm magnets. Which size it correct?
The 5mm maghnets. It should come up with that option selected
This is an awesome project. My son and I are enjoying ourselves as newbies to 3d printing with this project. We have had an issue with the games popping out of the holes when we spin it around. It happens even if we spin slowly. I have bought the exact same magnets that are on your list. I've also increased the height of the top portion to 125% of the original size and they still jump out. We are using PLA and a FlashForge 5M. Please help!
Hi, I am so glad you and your son are enjoying these projects together! Make sure you only have 2 magnets in each hole, of the top portion; and if you do, you can try going down to just one magnet in each hole and see if it is any better for you. The games are not meant to fully pop out of the slots but they are meant to rise out of each slot as it spins.
I loved this for the start but then when I finished everything it didn't work. But a couple weeks later I tried it without the bearing for smooth spinning and it was working correctly but not smooth spinning. Can you tell me what size bearing so I am getting the right one?
The link in the post takes you to the bearing I used on Amazon.
How do you assemble this?
The assembly instruction video has been linked to this page! scroll to the right through the photos and you will see it
Love this design too, but the ring to hold in the magnets is too large to fit in the underside of the top. I changed no settings or scale from the files to my printer.
It is desinged to be press-fit, so you have to give some force to get it to go in. If for some reason the tolerances of your machine dont allow you to press it in, scale it to 99% and print the ring again and it will fit
