I wanted to print out filiptheking's "flower" but when I tried to slice it in Cura it would not sit flat.  The first layer always showed a little area touching the build plate and the next layer being the full first layer.

I put his file into meshmixer and just used the "plane cut" feature to chop off the bottom layer to make it sit flat.

My wife uses makeup but she has a hard time cleaning her brushes when she is done.  We saw some other designs on thingiverse but they all seemed hard to hold.  I designed this one because it is easy to hold, 4" long by 2.5" wide, and the sides help hold some of the cleaning solution in it.

Makeup brush cleaner

I have the Wanhao Duplicator i3 v2.1 (same as the Monoprice Maker Select) and I use glue sticks on top of my glass bed.  I normally buy them from Amazon and keep them in the box.  

I decided that I should use the extra space on top of the control box to hold the glue sticks, an anti bounce hammer I use to remove prints from the print bed and a deburring tool.  This attaches to the control box with a 5 mm bolt.

I have included the Fusion 360 file so anyone can edit the file to match the sizes they need.  You can also post a comment for what you need and I will change it for you.  I have also included a little tester for the mounting holes.  That way you don't have to print out the whole unit and then find out the holes are too far / close together.  I don't know if other versions of this printer have different mounting holes.

I designed this Harbor Freight flashlight holder so when I change tools on my machine at work, I can see in the dark tight areas.  This holder uses 5mm x 5mm x 3mm thick magnets.  I have also included the Fusion 360 file so anyone can change it around.

I 3D printed flowers (other people's design) for my wife and wanted a vase / pot for them.  I designed this in Fusion 360 to be able to hold these flowers (9 of them) and more.  I have included the Fusion 360 file if anyone wants to edit this vase.

Warning, this is a long print, it took me 16 hours to print it.

The vase is 4 inches tall and 6.5 inches wide.  It requires no supports to print and has a flared base to make sure it does not tip over while full.  The walls of the vase are only 1.5 mm thick but being a round object they are fairly strong.

At my work we use dry erase markers to write stuff on a board.  I didn't like any of the other designs on here because they all kept the tip pointing up.  This causes the fluid inside to move away from the tip and make it "dry out".  I designed this one so the tip stays pointed down and keeps the ink there.

On the back is spots for 5mm x 5mm x 3mm thick magnets.  You can use as many or as little amount of magnets as needed.

I have also included the Fusion 360 file if anyone wants to modify it.

I liked the Sasquatch light switch cover by JcDenton but I wanted one that would go over a toggle switch.  I combined this with a toggle light switch to get the item I needed.  This will be for my brother-in-law because he loves Sasquatch.

Make sure you enable supports in your slicing program and print with the front of the switch cover up.

I liked and used rewsiffer's raspberry pi upgright mount; http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1263396.  I used it to mount my Raspberry Pi (with a case) to the back of my dresser.  You can look at the "made" section on this page to see how I use it.

I have a "rainbow" case from eleduino (http://www.eleduino.com/Rainbow-Case-for-Raspberry-pi-3-model-B-and-Raspberry-pi-2-model-B-Development-Board-p10428.html) that I wanted to put in my other Raspberry Pi.  The problem is the screws for the case do not go through the Raspberry Pi mounting holes but around the outside of the case.  I had to design a new mounting bracket to allow me to use the case.  I wanted to use my case so I would not have the raw circuit board exposed.

I guess this is not a true remix of a part since I only used his model as a reference.  I did not actually modify his design.

I wanted to be able to screw the M3 bolts into the base and not force them in.  If you use a M3 tap you will be able to create threads in the holes.  That way you will be able to screw / unscrew the bolts easily.  I also created a countersink for the two holes to mount the stand to a surface.  That way the heads of the drywall screws sit more flush with the stand.

Eleduino Raspberry Pi rainbow case stand

When my wife goes to rebuild her Sigelei 150W TC vape, it sometimes gets knocked over due to the top heavy design.  I decided to create a simple holder to help stop it from falling.  All you have to do is just insert the vape into the opening at the to and it will help stop your vape from falling over.

This is my first design in Fusion 360.  I have included the Fusion 360 file in case you want to edit the holder.

edit 02/02/17  The part should now print correctly without you having to rotate the part.

I bought this 13 piece titanium metric drill bits from Amazon, https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00M4U3Y34/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 but the case that it came with was not that great.  The hinge was cracked so it did not stay closed and the labels for each drill bit size is very hard to read.  Instead of trying to fix the hinge and have it probably not last I decided to use joaquinfq's "Customizable Drill Holder".  This allowed me to create a case that holds the drill bits nicely.

I imported the file that the customizer outputted and I added numbers to identify each drill bit size. 

I also create a little grabber that holds a magnet.  Some of the drill bits are small which makes them hard to get out.  The grabber holds a square neodymium magnet sized 5mm x 5mmx 3mm. I bought mine from Wish (https://www.wish.com/c/54acfc554274a22214c95a6e).

I then took a metallic silver sharpie and colored the top of each number to make them stand out a bit more. 

The cover at first was tight but is a bit loose now so I just use a rubber band to keep it all secure.  I don't know if I would trust the lid even if it was tight.

I wanted to print out Markab's flower and a stem but not have any leaves on the stem.  That way I will not have to worry about breaking any leaves off when I put it in a vase.  I flattened the bottom and designed my own leave less stem.

Some of the photos were take in portrait (vertical) because I wanted to capture more of the printer.  If you click on the four arrows in the top right of the image you can see the whole image.

With my Wanhao Duplicator i3 ( it should also work with the Monoprice Maker Select and the Alidi Cocoon Create since they are clones of each other) I like having my commonly used tools (tweezers, part scraper, cutters for the filament) attached to my printer.  That way when I need to use one of them, all I have to do is just reach to what ever side they are attached on and remove it.  This becomes really handy since I don't have to locate where I placed them last.

I use a glass bed with my printer and a glue stick (Elmer's All Purpose glue stick sized 0.77 oz, it is about 27 mm in diameter) to hold my prints down.  I wanted a way to attach my glue stick to my printer but not make it super difficult to remove.  I came up with this design and it can also be used to hold anything  under about 30 mm.  

This can be attached to either side of the printer where the four bolts are located on the Z / X axis section.  You can see the location in the images.

You will need to replace the four M3 x 5 mm bolts with M3 x 10 mm bolts and I also used washers to help.  I bought my bolts and washers for this mod and other mods at:

Edit 10/8/16:
I have included a version that allows the bolts to be recessed in so they sit flush.  The file is called "recessed glue stick holder".  With the recessed version you want to put the glue stick back with the cap facing towards the inside of the printer.  If you put it the other way the weight of the glue causes it to fall off.

Sometimes for my wife's job, she shows video on a TV.  She plays those video from a thumb drive that is plugged into a Roku XS and that is plugged into a TV.  She always just has the Roku laying around.  I decided to create a holder so all she has to do is plug the power in for the TV and the Roku and nothing else.

I remixed the Roku XS wall mount by Brett, http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:34848, and added a mount to fit my TV.  This should fit any TV with a VESA 100 (spacing between the holes that you would attach a wall mount to).  I have made the holes that you attach the holder to the TV ob-round in case your printer is not perfectly accurate.

The original wall mount has the Roku sitting in the holder with the top out.  My unit, at least the one that I printed, has the Roku with the bottom facing out.  I don't know if something happened while it was printing or just my filament but I could not get the Roku to fit with the top facing out.

I used Shii's parametric funnel to make one so I could refill my Mane 'n Tail shampoo bottles.  The 32 oz bottle is what I normally use but I buy the 1 gallon container.  Before I used to just try to pour it in but now I can pour some into the funnel and let it go in.  This makes it easier and less messy.

My wife uses Lush 16.9 oz shampoo / conditioner bottles.  When one is getting low I would transfer the contents from one bottle to another just by balancing them on top of each other.  

Now I can just screw both bottles together and walk away while they combine together.

For anyone wanting to take the original file and remix it for use on bottles that have rounded threads (image included) make sure you add 1 mm extra to the diameter.

but my wife needed one that held more brushes.  I took my nail file one that just stretched it out to 125 mm long by 70 mm wide by 75 mm tall.  It is the same height as my nail file one.

As you can see the opening is just one big opening, not divided in any way but it holds a ton of different brushes.  It allows you to move your brushes around and with the base being flared out it is really stable.

My wife likes to keep her nail files inside the medicine cabinet in our bathroom.  The problem is if we lay them down they usually  fall out when we open the door.  We did not have a cup that fits in the space inside a medicine cabinet so I decided to print one.

I may have over did the base a bit but it does stop the cup from tipping over if you catch a nail file on it.

This nail file cup is 3 inches (75 mm) tall and about 2 1/8 inches (55 mm) wide. So I am guessing it should fit any standard medicine cabinet.

My wife also uses this to hold her makeup brushes.  It is surprisingly perfect for the size.  It holds a lot of brushes but is also very easy to remove them.

Nail file holder / makeup brush

For my wife's job, she sometimes has to display videos on a TV while talking about a product.  She uses a Roku to play the video files and I designed a mounting bracket, http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1752230, to hold the Roku 2 XS unit to the TV.  That way all she has to do is pickup the TV and set it up where she wants it.  Everything is all attached to the TV and all she has to do is plug in power.

This design is just a simple box to hold the Roku 2 XS remote in.  I designed it so I can use the existing VESA 100 wall mounting holes on the TV.  The holder is attached to the TV with two 4mm socket cap screws and will sit flush with the inside of the holder.  That way they do no interfere with the remote going in and coming out.

My wife needed some spikes for a hat that Bowser from Nintendo would wear.  I designed this in Tinerkcad with some holes in the bottom, no supports needed they are small, to allow hot glue to hold better.  We then used silver spray paint.  The spikes are 1 inch wide by 1 inch tall.

I used KatTrue's parametric center finder to create a 50 mm long version with a 3 mm hole in the center.  It is handy for when you need to find the center of an object.  

An example would be if you had a board and you needed to cut it in half lengthwise.  You hold it so each little round cylinder is next to the edge of the board.  You then put your pencil / pen in the hole and slide it down a board.

I liked the low poly rose by Kijai but I wanted to put this rose, along with other flowers, in a vase.  I did not want to worry about any leaves breaking off so I made this.  You will need to print with supports since there is no flat area to print from.  

I like how my stem came out with the rough surface.  It makes it look more natural than 3D printed.  I know I could have printed each layer and paused before the next one to allow them to cool.  The stem is 127 mm tall and about 21 mm in diameter.

My wife and I bought a little shelf by OXO that is designed to go into a medicine cabinet.  The idea of the shelf is it allows you to store smaller items inside your medicine cabinet without wasting the whole shelf.  Think of it like a half length self.  

The problem we ran into is OXO stopped selling it on their website.  I figured since I have a 3D printer I would print one out.

The whole thing is 5 1/8" tall (131mm), 6 3/8" wide (161.6mm) and 3 1/4" deep (82.7mm).  I printed mine laying down with the curved top portion facing my cooling fans.

Medicine Cabinet Shelf

The OXO tub stopper has a little suction cup built into it so when you are done taking a bath you can attach it to the wall.  My wife takes bath's but not too often.  After a while of this hanging up it has developed a mis-coloration on the part that attaches to the wall.  I am guessing that it is due to a lack of air flow.

I designed a little bracket to attach to the OXO suction cup and allow you to hang the tub stopper away from the wall.  This will allow air flow and any excess water to drip away.

This is a just a simple cup that I designed to hold my wife's unicorn makeup brushes.  I took my other design,

and made it a bit wider and taller.  This allows a very stable base that will only tip over if you really try.  Even empty, the holder has a bit of weight to it.

I printed out mathcraft's tulip and I wanted to print his stem.  The way that he had it orientated is with one of the pointed edges facing the build plate.  I rotated the stem so one of the flat edges lays flat against the build plate.

It includes a little scoop that you use to remove the product from the jar and apply it.  Included in the lid is a small section that can hold the scoop.  The included holder becomes a pain to use when you are using the product so I have designed this.  

I have removed the sticker on the side of the container because when I was attaching the holder it started to rip the sticker.  The scoop holder is just held on with friction (no glue) but it fits tight enough that it won't move on you.

When I bought Formula 560 (people also call it canopy glue) from amazon, it came with no cap.  I thought it would be perfect to 3D print a cap.  I found CodeCreations "squeeze bottle cap" and used that to make this cap.  

I don't know how air tight this it but I figured it would slow down the glue from drying out.

I wanted to put my Wyze pan tilt camera to my desk but have it not slide around if the cable was pulled.  

I designed this to be customizable in Fusion 360.  When you have the fusion file open, you can go to "modify, change parameters" to adjust the dimensions for the bolt and table thickness.  There is a description for each parameter and each parameter has an extra 0.5 mm tolerance added in automatically.  The settings for the bolt head allow the head of the bolt to sit inside the mount without sticking out.  This way it will not scratch your desk.

The STL files are the same setting I used for my bolt (standard 1/4-20 bolt).  I printed my "desk mount" on it's side so I didn't use any supports.  The wyze cam mount can print sitting on the print bed.  This way nothing will use supports.

My wife uses shampoo bar's from the store Lush.  The problem is when you buy them, they do not come with any container to hold them.  

At first we tried storing them in the little black pots that other Lush products come in.  I drilled some holes in the bottom of the black pot to let the water drain out.  The pot helped to stop the shampoo bars from getting wet while taking a shower but the drain holes did not allow enough air to fully dry the shampoo bars.

I made up these trays to support the shampoo bars inside the little black pots and allow the water to drain off easier.  You place the tray with the spikes up.  What works out nice is that the spikes allows you to stand the shampoo bar up vertical if you need it to dry quicker.

I wanted to print Kijai's cherry blossom but I also wanted to have a stem where I could insert it into a vase with other flowers.  I didn't want to worry about any leaves breaking off so I designed this.  

You still need to print the stamen from the original file to complete this great looking flower.

You will need to print this with supports.
