This is an original work designed at a 1:12 scale, ideal for miniature book collections, doll houses, or other toy or collection purposes.

I created this because my wife is part of reading groups and some of them like to keep miniature collections of the books that they've read. After doing a little research, the books are often created near a 1:12 scale, similar to the ratio used to doll houses. Often, these tiny books are made of laser cut wood. So, me being a 3D printing enthusiasts, my wife asked if I could create some 3D printed mini books for her. So here we are.

Originally, I just created a rectangle to size but as is typical of me, I wasn't happy with that. I then decided to add pages and a spine to make them look a little more realistic.

This model includes two variations of the book. It includes the standard version as well as a variation that has a pocket for a 15mm x 3mm neodymium magnet. I created the magnetized version to work with my magnetized miniature bookshelf. This keeps the books on the shelf, lined up, and allows for things like placing books askew.

I've also included a template to print covers for the books in various file format. SVG, PNG, PDF, afoto, adesign, and PSD.
