=== About === This is the first iteration of my ergonomic hitbox enclosure. By mounting the button panels on the sides, it allows you to keep a more neutral,vertical wrist posture than traditional keyboard or hitbox enclosures.
=== FAQs ===
- THIS IS CURRENTLY A PROTOTYPE, FUNCTION NOT GUARANTEED
- Printing
- Side panels are 150mm x 130mm, front/back panels are 150mm x 90mm
- Print the two halves of the frame with the panel-hole-sides down for best support efficiency
- This is tested on a Bambu P1S 0.4 nozzle, layer height 0.2mm, with PLA Basic
- The foot is 260mm wide and won't fit on a 256mm print bed aligned squarely. The BambuStudio auto-arrange also couldn't figure it out; I fit it on a Bambu P1S by manually rotating it in BambuStudio.
- Assembly & Parts
- Panel screw hole sizes are 4mm. I use countersunk (flat) M4 bolts and nuts. You need at least 12mm to fit the washer and nut, but I prefer 16mm. Similar to this: https://monsterbolts.com/products/mach-phil-flat-blk-m4
- Neutrik screw holes are ~3.1mm, often fastened with #4-40 or M3 screws. When using a Neutrik connector, it comes with countersunk (flat) screws, but rocker switches require mounting plates and pan head screws.
- Button holes are sized for 24mm buttons, like these Sanwa OBSF https://paradisearcadeshop.com/collections/sanwa-2/products/sanwa-obsf-24-snap-in-button-black
- The extra button hole on each side panel is for L3 / R3
- Blank rear panel is great for sticking PCB mounts
- Front panel is for 4 system buttons and 4 neutrik interfaces (USB passthrough or switches)
- Usage
- It's designed to be held with the widest side towards your abdomen, and the thinnest side facing away from you.
- I use an up button on each panel to emulate the shared up button of a hitbox (this is not CPT-legal)
- I use neutrik-mounted switches on the back panel to enable / disable individual up buttons
