Star Wars R2D2 Holo Projector Parts, my remix of the Holo Projector that I remodelled using Blender was from several other designs, which are from the Mr. Baddeley r2d2 files. The only part that I used a brim on was the Holo Projector body, and the part that screws into the body needs some supports as well as the part that the servos are attached too, everything else was printed as is. There are two M3 x 3mm threaded inserts added to the part that holds the LED board. I used 2 M3 screws with a thread length of 10mm. There are two 4G screws that hold the other 2 parts together. The Body that the hold the Holo projector, I have not yet worked out how to attach them to my R2 as my dome doesn't have the attachment points, so check before you print those parts that they will work for your dome. I added a second inner spacer tube that's split into 2 pieces, the thinner one goes in first then you can add some kind of diffuser, I made mine from 4 disks cut from a plastic sheet that ended up being 1.2mm think all up and then you put in the longer spacer tube with the LED light board on that's attached with all the other bits. The lens I use was 38mm DIA and 3mm thick. I added a cut away view STL file and 2 images as well.
