45 Degree Ground Plane Antenna Jig

This is a printed jig that you use to assemble a DIY ground-plane antenna.
The jig forms part of the construction.

This antenna you can make when you don't have any connectors like N-Type or SO-239 as the cable solders on directly. The type of cable being used is RG174 with 2.5mm diameter.

For the radials and element I used 2mm brass brazing rod as it is stiffer than copper.
For the ring that connects the ground and radials, I used 1.75mm copper wire because it is easier to bend into a circle around the jig.

Best printed in ABS if you want it to last longer outside. PLA could also be used but it will be more susceptible to melting when soldering or disintegrating because of UV exposure.

I recommend not soldering on the jig unless you are an expert with soldering.

Has holes to tie down the radials with zip-ties.

The main element is press fit although epoxy will make sure it stays in place.
