This unique print-in-place Jack Skellington piece utilises a hybrid printing method that combines Hueforge filament painting and a traditional 3D print model. Jack's head sticks out of the print, giving it a little bit of a personality! 

 

**Important for this print:**  Black is repeated just before the head is printed. If you only have one AMS, I suggest leaving black in Slot 1 and removing AMS slot 2 once its finished printing to replace it with the colour for the head (if using something other than white).  If you are using white, you do not need to remove and replace anything! Just assign the white to the slot your white filament is in. 

The included 3MF has all the settings already applied if you are using the profile attached, but if you are downloading the raw files and using your own print profile, please follow the instructions below.
 

**Print Instructions**

1. The print swaps filaments 5 times, with the final time being the colour of Jack's head that ‘pops out’ from the print. In my print, I used a 5th colour (Glow in the Dark), but you can use what ever colour you want, or even reuse the white. 
2. I printed with supports for the head, but depending on your printer, you may get away with not having supports. I have altered the head to be printed with 5% infill.
3. I printed this file with adaptive layer heights for the head to speed things up (0.2 for the base of the head and 0.04 towards the top of the head). This should be reflected in the 3MF file. You can certainly do this, or use your own settings as well.
4. Post processing includes removing supports for the head, through the holes for the eyes. The tree supports that I used with my settings were fairly easy to remove, however if you are worried, please feel free to use your own support settings to ensure ease of clean-up and removal!  

**Filament Swaps**
Print at 100% infill with a layer height of 0.04mm with a base layer of 0.2mm

 

**Filaments Used:**
- PLA Kingroon Black Transmission Distance: 0.4
- PLA+ Sunlu Red Transmission Distance: 6
- PLA META Sunlu Teal Transmission Distance: 5.4
- PLA Kingroon White Transmission Distance: 8
- PLA Overture Glow in the Dark Transmission Distance: 8 (this is your head colour!)

**Swap Instructions:**
- Start with Black
- At 1.04mm swap to Red
- At 1.2mm swap to Teal
- At 1.36mm swap to White 
- At 2.08mm swap to Black (this is a repeat colour!)
- At 2.92 swap to Glow in the Dark for the rest.  (Head Colour)

HueForge Frog Color Match

An oversized Squirtle Pokemon card, and completely 3D printed, and print in place! This is another Hueforge hybrid print that uses filament painting methods and traditional 3D printing to create a combined pop-art effect piece. 

 
This uses 5 different filament colours, with blue repeated for Squirtle at the end of the print. If you do not have an AMS, no fear! Just download the 3MF file and instead of a filament change, insert a pause at the correct layer heights and manually load and unload the filament spool yourself before resuming the print. 

 
If you only have one AMS, take out a spool that has finished printing and replace it with colour #5 (when black has finished printing, take it out and put yellow in that slot instead). Remember to set the AMS slot accordingly in your slicer beforehand. 

 
It is large, at **170mm x 240mm in size**. If you have to resize it to fit your printer bed, please only scale the X and Y dimensions, but **do not alter the Z dimension**, otherwise the layer swaps will be inaccurate. 

 
If you are using the Makerworld One-Click printing, all settings will have been applied to this print, and you can just hit Print. If you do not want to use that, please download the 3MF file, or the ** STL (for non Bambu users)** and apply the recommended settings below.

 
**Print Instructions:**
For the HueForge part of the print (0mm - 2.04mm):
- Print at 100% infill with a layer height of 0.08mm with a base layer of 0.2mm

For the Squirtle part of the model (2.12mm - 35mm):
- Print at 5% infill (I used rectilinear), 3 walls, 3 tops, and 3 bottoms.
- Using a layer height modifier, modify the layer height for this range to 0.16mm so that the print goes faster.
- No supports are required

- PLA BambuLab Basic BambuLab Green Transmission Distance: 8

Ever wanted an oversized Pikachu card with Pikachu popping out of the frame? Well now you can print one for yourself! This is another Hueforge hybrid print that uses filament painting methods and traditional 3D printing to create a combined pop-art effect piece. It's an easy 6 hour print, no supports needed! 

 

This print uses 4 colours, with the Yellow repeated for Pikachu at the end. If you do not have an AMS, just insert pauses at the layer swaps and manually swap out the colours :) 

 

It is large, at 177mm x 240mm in size. If you have to resize it to fit your printer bed, please only scale the X and Y dimensions, **but do not alter the Z dimension**, otherwise the layer swaps will be inaccurate. 

 

If you are using the Bambu Studio, download the 3MF file and all settings will have been applied to this print, and you can just hit Print. If you do not want to use that, feel free to use the 3MF or STL, and apply your own print settings (though the Hueforge portion should follow the layer swap settings provided).  

**Print Instructions:** 

- The Hueforge portion of the print should be printed at 100% infill, at a 0.08mm layer height with 0.2mm base.
- The Pikachu (and it's tail) portion of the print (from 2.04mm to 210mm height) should be printed at 5% infill with 3 walls, and at 0.16mm layer height. You can use a layer height modifier to set these settings. 

**Filament Swaps:**

Print at 100% infill with a layer height of 0.08mm with a base layer of 0.2mm

**Filaments Used:**
- PLA Kingroon Black Transmission Distance: 0.4
- PLA BambuLab Basic BambuLab Green Transmission Distance: 8
- PLA CC3D  Lemon Yellow Transmission Distance: 8

- At layer #10 (0.92mm) swap to BambuLab Green

- At layer #24 (2.04mm) swap to Lemon Yellow (This is for Pikachu!)

**Post Processing:**

You'll need to paint Pikachu's eyes and cheeks yourself, but that shouldn't take too much time!

Oversized Pikachu Pokemon Card - Hueforge Hybrid Print

Turns out a lot of you like Gengar! I got a few requests for this one, and so here it is! I even managed to sculpt the Gengar in Nomad :)

This time I have included TWO options:
1. Non-Simplified .3mf and STL - this is the original file that I used for my print. Bambu Slicer took a while to slice this (maybe 5 minutes), so I would suggest patience if you think it's not slicing. However, if your PC cannot handle it, I have provided option 2 below. 

2. Simplified .3mf and STL - this is a decimated version of the file IF your slicer doesn't seem to be slicing the file properly. I would only use this version if it really doesn't slice, as this decimated version will be less detailed than option 1 above. 

The 3MF files should have all the settings you need to print this, including height range modifiers as well as layer swaps. Note that if you use the 3MF files, I have used height range modifiers to speed up the print but you absolutely do not have to do that if you don't want to. 

The general settings to be followed (if you do not use the 3MF file with the in-built settings) are below:

**Print Instructions**
**For the HueForge portion (0.00mm - 2.68mm)**
- Print at 100% infill with a layer height of 0.08mm with a base layer of 0.2mm

**For Gengar (2.68mm and above)**
- Print at 10% infill (I used cross hatch) at a layer height of 0.16mm
- 6 top, 3 bottom surfaces, 3 walls

**Filaments Used:**
- PLA Kingroon Black Transmission Distance: 0.2
- PLA BambuLab Tough Vermilion Red Transmission Distance: 3
- PLA Sunlu Purple Transmission Distance: 4.3
- PLA Sunlu Lilac Transmission Distance: 6.6

**Swap Instructions:**
- Start with Black

- At 1.08mm swap to Lilac

- At 2.68 swap to Purple for the rest (this is for Gengar!)

- Added 2 smaller boxes that you can print on smaller printers (Bambu Lab A1, Prusa Mini, ...). The size of those boxes are W 100mm X H 150mm and W 150mm X H 150mm. You are able to resize the HueForge prints in the slicer to fit that form factor, just make sure you do not resize on the Z axis.
- Reworked the hole to hang the box on a wall. Made the original hole smaller and added a hole in the side wall. This allows you to hang the box in a landscape orientation.

Adding to my Star Wars HueForge Hybrids, here's the iconic scene of the trench run through the Death Star! This print is **completely Print-In-Place :)**

All necessary settings have been applied in the 3MF file, if you're using Bambu Studio/Bambu slicer. If you are not using either, please download the STL and follow the instructions below **very carefully:**

**IMPORTANT NOTE:**
1. If you are having issues slicing the main profile, please try the ‘Non-Arachne Walls (Alternative)’ 3MF profile. I have not had any issues slicing but some have reported Bambu Slicer stalling at 15%. I am using Bambu Studio 1.8.4.51 and have no issues, so if you do, maybe update the slicer, or try the alternative print profile!
2. Use a layer height modifier in the slicer to achieve these split settings
3. The tops of the X-Wing's spindles (35mm and above) **are really thin and skinny.** Please ensure your settings have been adjusted for this. I slowed down speed, and increased layer time within my filament settings to ensure the printer can handle the skinny print. 
4. As with all HueForge prints, an AMS is NOT needed, but highly recommended. If you don't have an AMS, just manually insert a pause at the layers below, and swap out your filament spools to the right colour :) 

**Print Instructions:**
**For the HueForge part (0mm - 2.12mm)**
Print at 100% infill with a layer height of 0.08mm with a base layer of 0.2mm

**For the X-Wing (2.12mm - 110mm)**
Print at 5% infill (Gyroid), with a layer height of 0.16mm
I used 2 walls, 3 surfaces, amd 3 bottoms.



**Filaments Used:**
- PLA Kingroon Black Transmission Distance: 0.4
- PLA+ eSun Grey Transmission Distance: 1.4
- PLA Overture Light Grey Transmission Distance: 1.6 (also for the X Wing!)

Death Star Trench Run - HueForge Hybrid

Grogu, the adorable and enigmatic Force-sensitive creature, known to many as "The Child" or "Baby Yoda," had a curious habit that both amused and perplexed those around him. Whenever he had the chance, Grogu would eagerly engage in the art of 3D printing, showcasing a fascination with technology that seemed far beyond his years.

In a rare moment of relaxation, Grogu would waddle over to a small 3D printer, its futuristic design starkly contrasting with his ancient and wise presence. His large, expressive eyes sparkled with wonder as he observed the printer's intricate dance, layer by layer, bringing his digital creations to life. It was as if he instinctively understood the magic of this modern craftsmanship.

But there was a unique twist to Grogu's 3D printing hobby. As he diligently watched the printer, he would often exhibit a penchant for bending over and touching his toes, as if drawn by an irresistible urge to inspect the process from a different angle. His tiny, three-fingered hands reached down, brushing against his toes, while his keen eyes studied the printer from a lower vantage point.

The combination of Grogu's love for 3D printing and his peculiar habit of toe-touching became an endearing spectacle, demonstrating his insatiable curiosity and the playful innocence that endeared him to all who encountered him. It was a gentle reminder that even within the realm of advanced technology, the simple joys of exploration and creative expression could be found, especially when viewed from the unique perspective of Grogu, the endearing enigma from a galaxy far, far away.

Star Wars (Inspired) "Baby Yoda Jedi Training" HueForge Grogu

I present to you, a stormtrooper that's a little banged up, dosed in some Christmas coloured splatter paint. Of course, if you decide you want something that isn't red and green, let your imagination fly and use other colours as an alternative!

The included 3MF will already have all the settings applied if you're using a Bambu printer or Bambu Studio. If not, pleas use the STL and follow the instructions below. 

If you only have one AMS, you can swap out the black once it's done printing for the 5th colour and assign it in your slicer accordingly! This print is 160mm x 240mm - if you wish to resize it, please feel free to do so, but DO NOT alter / alter the Z (height) dimension!

Print at 100% infill with a layer height of 0.08mm with a base layer of 0.24mm
