A 3d printer stepper motor visualiser based on a flattened version of the iconic Ferrari F40 wheel.

A magnet is placed inside the short axle during the printing process and is then encased inside the print after further layers are applied on top. Parts are held together with super glue.

The magnet used is 6x3mm, just make sure to pause your print at the correct layer. 

Mine was printed at 0.1mm layer height to capture the detail.

Quick to fit and remove and adds a little bit of style to your 3d printer.

My entry into the latest @thangs3d workspace competition. Outdoor fun - a morning coffee in the sun with breakfast.

If you don't use the nespresso insert, this would could store so many other things and would look great on your patio furniture.

A recent modular upgrade means you can also store sugar in a stylish way! There is an inbuilt spoon and recess to hold the spoon (see the images).

This started life as a small octagon shaped box created by @3dprintbunny. I scaled it up by 150%, designed an ornate external pattern inspired by the windows from the 'Bridge of Sighs' in the Doge's Palace, Venice. I sculpted an insert to hold 5 nespresso pods/capsules securely inside.

My creme egg 3d printed lock box design.

A fun way to keep your Easter chocolate safe from unwanted hands.

A combination lockable storage container for creme egg sized items. This was very fun to design, I kept it super simple but the functionality is great. Programmable positions for the combination allowing you to change the three digit code.

Creme Egg Lockbox - Easter Chocolate Protection

This stand is built to fit the press in module from a dismantled IKEA phone charger.

The stand comes in 2 piece which can be fitted together with or without glue as necessary.

The model is designed so that it can be printed face down without supports.

The front grill is 2 layers thick at a layer height of 0.2mm and helps transmit the wireless power while keeping the device cool.

Another one of my entries for the Creality Modification Master competition.

This is originally designed for the Ender 3 S1 (although I don't own one). I've found that the top extruded aluminium piece is the same as my Ender 3 v2. It has also proved useful when installed in other locations on my printer.

The modular bracket clamps on to the t-slot channel in the metal bar and locks in place with a quick release cam lever. I will be making a Reel soon to show how it works.

Modular system:
This was designed with multi-function in mind. There are many different slot in accessory holders (2 sizes of glue stick, small tray, paper/card holder, Allen/hex holder). However, it is also very simple for you to design your own accessories that will fit.

Printing:
The t-bar locking pin and lever need to be printed laid down with 100% infill.

The main body of the holder needs to flex/spring a little when the lever is being clamped down so I have used 2/3 walls with 10% gyroid infill.

I have found that PLA can be strong enough for this but PETG holds up better to the tensile strength required.

I have printed all parts together on a raft to keep the dimensions more accurate.

Anti-tangle bearing spool holder for Ender 3 V2 (and any other with side feed and similar extruded aluminium frame).

My entry to the Modification Master contest from Creality.

I have used bearing spool holders before and sometimes have a problem where they spontaneously unwind causing possible filament tangles.

My design caters for spools with different widths and internal diameters (some will require the adapter).

The Devil's Tail spring provides enough friction so that the spool does not unwind by itself but also allows the extruder to pull the required amount of filament.

Using the metal frame from the original Ender 3 spool holder I have repositioned the filament to the side in order to attempt to reduce the weight on top of the printer that may cause print quality issues.

The locking screw holds the spool axle in the frame securely so it does not jump out during operation.

Minimal fixings are required to assemble this, 3mm nuts and bolts x4, 608 bearings x2, and the original spool holder frame that came with the Ender 3 v2.

All threads are 3d printable without support. Most parts can be printed without support apart from the rear frame piece.

Please note, when I assembled this the tolerances were great on my printer but may be different for yours. I had to sand the surfaces slightly where the bearings are mounted in order for them to fit.

Anti-tangle Side Mount Spool Holder Kit Ender 3 V2

This design is still not ready. I have been changing features and haven't yet 3d printed one that lasts longer than a few weeks. I am looking at refining the arm design for better robustness.

I created this to replace my 'slack fitting' standard part. This one grips slightly tighter but also allows the sprayer to spin as the manufacturer intended.

The connecting arms were made thicker to allow the 3d printed part to be more robust when clicking into position.

A 'print in place' ratcheting spanner/wrench.

Inspired by the freewheel mechanism on a bicycle, I designed this tool to be compact and strong but most importantly it can be printed in place, already assembled.

The internal gear rotates in one direction depending on which way round the tool is engaged. 

The spring latches into place perfectly to engage when tightening but slides over the teeth when spinning the opposite way.

All parts have been designed with 3d printing in mind with no need for support material. The 45 degree angle internally not only makes this easily printable, but it also locks the turning sprocket inside the frame.

A pen pot in the style of a retro iMac G3. If you're old enough to remember this it was an iconic design of the late 1990s and came in lots of different exciting colours.

This pen pot has a tube to contain a decent sized collection of pens and a little shelf inside the screen area to store other things like rubbers or sharpeners.
