Remade the Dillon Toolhead stand I found here as I had difficulties with the other STL file with my slicer. This was created in Fusion 360 and they only modification from the original was some chamfers to break the edges and chamfers on the pegs and slot to ease placing materials on the stand. I included the Fusion 360 file so you can modify as you desire.

This head is for the top of the tension mast on Brother knitting machines. It sits on the top of the mast rod and the tensioner fits into the slot and locks into place. There is the square hole that allows you to attach the sensor for the garter carriage as well. This is a commonly broken part and becoming rare to find original replacement especially with the spot for the garter carriage sensor.

In designing this, I bulked it up a little from the original but fit it on my Brother 940 knitting machine verifying that none of the extra material would interfere with the operation of the tension mast or the garter carriage sensor.

The two problems I had with the design was the bowden support interfered with the strain gauge probing, so I edited the X carriage mount to remove the bowden support. The other problem is that I no longer have the stock extruder as I installed a EZR Struder. The filament guide on the mount for the extruder plate would not fit as the EZR Struder sticks out toward the filament sensor, so I eliminated the filament guide and narrowed the body a little. Fortunately the author provided the original Fusion 360 design file so it was easy to modify.

This cover plate is for the back of a SR155 Ribber for a SK155 Singer/Silver Reed knitting machine.

On the ribber there is a racking knob that allows you to shift the needles left and right in half-step increments. A person had moved and the movers dropped their SR155 ribber shattering the original cover plate.

Fortunately I have a SK155 with the SR155 ribber, so I was able to remove and reproduce the part. The only difference between this and the original is I eliminated a void in the underside that is not used which made it much easier to model.

Changeover Cams for the Silver Reed Knitting Machine AW1 Weaving Arm.

Silver Reed machines were called several names depending on which country they were sold in. They were also knows as Studio, Singer, Empisal, and KnitMaster.

The AW1 Weaving Arm fits the SK326, 327, 328, 329, 560, 580, 260, 360 700, and 740 standard gauge (4.5mm) machines.
Supposedly you could also use the Weaving Arm on fine gauge machines with modifications. These Changeover Cams fit the standard gauge machines only.

With the AW1 Weaving Arm, you can weave a larger (chunky) yarn through the stitches of a standard gauge machine. Weaving can be accomplished with the standard presser foot of most machines, but requires manually moving the yarn from one side of the carriage to the other after each row. The AW1 Weaving Arm automates this task. Unfortunately most AW1 Weaving Arms are missing the Changeover Cams. The Changeover Cams are placed on either side of the knitted garment and trigger the cam lever on the AW1 arm. Without the Changeover Cams, you have to manually manipulate the cam lever on each row.

After many months of searching, I obtained a set of the original Changeover Cams for my AW1 Weaving Arm. From those original Changeover Cams I was able to measure and model up a 3D Printed replacement for the Cams.

Originally you were supplied two sets of the Cams, two for the left and two for the right. Normally only one Cam is used on each side of the garment, but it is recommended to place both cams on the bed together when knitting full bed garments to ensure the cam lever trips properly.



Knitting Machine AW1 Changeover Cams

This latch tool comes with the Passap m201 and is originally made in metal. On a machine knitting YouTube channel run by Roberta Rose Kelly at the video:

Roberta details the tool and provides a tracing that she made of the tool laid flat. She refers to it as a Cupid's Bow tool. From this tracing, I reproduced the tool in Fusion 360. Made the piece that runs through the latches wedge shaped so you can use it to rake the latches closed as well. I thickened up the handle as well.

Eventually I will add a second tool slightly larger as it works well on a standard gauge machine but is a little small on the chunky machine.

Knitting Machine Latch Tool

I designed this basic mount for the CR-6 SE and Max to hold the BTT Smart Filament Sensor to the base where the stock filament sensor resides. This mount was designed to line up with the Micro Swiss dual gear extruder so may not line up well with other extruders since the Micro Swiss routes the filament on the other side of the stepper shaft. This does not replace the back plate of the BTT Smart Filament Sensor, but attaches to the two middle screw holes using the longer screws provided with the sensor. I then used a piece of PTFE connected directly between the sensor and extruder.
