Case for HMTECH 10" Capacitive Touchscreen

I recommend PLA over ABS to avoid issues with warping, especially if using a Prusa MK3S, because the model goes all the way to the edges of the print bed. 

**In order to make it fit in the print bed (if using PrusaSlicer), it is necessary to set the skirt to 0 loops. Otherwise it will send an error about "print moves outside of print area"

I set the supports to be at 45º to make it a little easier to remove, as well as give them a bit more rigidity since they would print as straight lines otherwise (for the sliding parts).

Also suggest using the "snug" option for supports in PrusaSlicer to make things fit inside the print bed.

It came out to be a very snug fit with the screen to the point where it is a bit hard to take the screen out once assembled. If you do need to take it out, i recommend slowly pushing up from the HDMI port until the top of the screen clears the edge enough to take it out with your hands. Be careful not to bend the HDMI port though.

DO NOT INSERT A SCREW DRIVER (or similar) INTO THE BOTTOM CUT-OUT TO TAKE OUT THE SCREEN!!! The cut-out was designed to give the ribbon cables some room to avoid breaking them. Inserting something to remove the screen will likely break said ribbon cables!!!

Remixed to fit RPi PoE hat and extended GPIO pins. 

I made this because I needed to fit the extended GPIO pins in order to be able to connect my touchscreen to the RPi as well as the PoE hat.

Print the top case upside down with supports for the overhang

The bottom of the case is the same as the original model.

The standoffs (print 2)  go between the RPi and the PoE hat on the ethernet side of the board, to ensure they are parallel. The other side is held by the GPIO extension pins. 
I suggest using a raft for these to avoid them coming off the bed 

I used M3x18mm screws to secure the top and bottom parts of the case together. The RPi doesn´t need any screws to hold it in place, it is a pretty snug fit once assembled.

There is a small square cut-out where the 4 PoE pins are on the RPi, but it doesn't match up to the position of said pins. Since I don't actually have a need for those pins, I haven't fixed the cut-out. This doesn't affect the fit of the case.

**This was designed for the older RPi PoE hat, I am unsure if it will fit the new model.



RPi + PoE + GPIO extended pins

I created these mounts to fit 6.5in Focal access 165AS speakers in a Volkswagen Pointer/Volkswagen Gol G3. (same car, different name depending on the country)

Original speakers were 5.25in, but there is almost perfect space for a 6.5in. Only had to sand down a little bit of the door panel to avoid the speaker surround from hitting it.

It is designed and tested for the 4-door version of the car. I do not know if the 2-door version will work.

It is not a perfect fit given the geometry of the door, but it is close enough to make it “plug-and-play” (I would say around 95% perfect fit)

Printed with Hatchbox ABS on a Prusa MK3S with Enclosure (IKEA Lack V1)

I recommend printing with the flat, speaker-side facing to the bed, and using supports for the mounting "ears".

 USE THE INCLUDED GCODE FILES AT YOUR OWN RISK

On the gcode files used and attached here, I increased the temperature of the nozzle to 265ºC for the first layer and 280ºC for the rest, to decrease warping. (These are my personal standard settings for printing with hatch box ABS.) The print came out with no warping. 
It is also sliced at 100.33% scale to compensate for ABS shrinking (not really necessary since it isn't a detail-heavy print, simply part of my personal settings for ABS)
I used a 30% infill (gyroid) for the main body and a 50% infill on the 3 mounting points (not completely necessary, just did it for extra strength since the speakers I used are a bit on the heavy side.
 

I SUGGEST SLICING YOUR OWN FILE FROM THE STLs IF YOU'RE USING ANOTHER BRAND OF ABS, WITH ITS CORRESPONDING SETTINGS
