Engine cylinder deck bridge. 4.5" span, designed to hold any standard 3/8" shank dial indicator.

Recommend printing with base (magnet pockets) facing up. I printed mine in PETG with 6 wall layers and 40% infill to give it some heft. Any reasonable material or settings should work fine here.

Base has recesses for standard 18mm x 3mm magnets for use on iron blocks.

Bore on back side is for brass thread insert to retain the indicator. I used an M3 insert.

The indicator hole is a goofy shape but was very intentional. The squared off sides provide line contact for the indicator which hold it into proper alignment even with relatively large clearance in the print to allow for printer variability.
