Formula 1 Keychain
This is a keychain with the Formula 1 Logo. It's a simple design with the logo centered in the middle of the keychain.
Just after the podium ceremony for the final race of the year in Abu Dhabi, Formula 1 revealed the much simpler design, which will be used from the start of 2018 till today in 2022.
F1 commercial chief Sean Bratches said the decision to change the logo had come because the old design was not useful for modern digital platforms, nor for merchandising.
And he added that the category had to follow the example of other global brands, such as Coca-Cola, which has simplified its brands to adapt them to the digital age: “You can't keep the old logo forever. A lot of brands, especially in recent times, are trying to simplify their images to enter the digital space.
“Look at Starbucks or Coca-Cola, which have removed the condensation from their logo to be more digital. We felt we needed to go a little further and have redesigned it to position ourselves on a modern foundation.”
The inspiration for the new F1 logo F1 marketing chief Ellie Norman said the logo design was based on two cars racing around a circuit and battling to get to the finish line.
“It is inspired by the shape of the profile of two cars crossing a finish line. It's incredibly simple and bold, so applying it in today's market where mobile and digital consumption predominates, we have a lot more flexibility and versatility with this logo."
Although the old F1 logo became iconic because of the number 1 hidden in the middle of the image, Bratches said it was actually too subtle for a lot of people.
The FIA's opinion on the new F1 logo "We hold the preceding brand in high regard. It has served F1 extremely well over the last twenty-three years, but in terms of where we are taking the business and our vision for it, the negative space of the number 1 does not look too good on the market. digital world".
"If I were to survey the people I know and have talked to since I got here, many have spent years and years not understanding that the invisible space between left and right really was a number 1. I wanted it to be simple and clear. That's important for the digital world."
The relaunch of Formula 1 The new logo will take center stage in the process of relaunching F1, which will take place before the opening round of the 2018 season at the Australian GP.
"We are going to relaunch the brand and we are going to introduce a new graphics package for our television product. We are going to outline a new production concept, unveil a new responsive web platform [that adapts to the different devices from which it is read], new local capabilities and a platform for live streaming and video on demand".
You can use any material to print this keychain: PLA, ABS, TPU, ASA, PETG, PVA, Nylon,... You can print it in a single color or do a color change after layer 7 or 1.4mm, for my taste it looks much better in two colors. I recommend using: Black PLA Red PLA
