This is a modified version of the Gridfinity Window Divider Bin by Zack Freedman which was traditionally of size 2x1x6.

I started off from that model and made the following changes:

  • Updated the model so the glass is on the opposite side of the label and on the same side as the chafers. The parts are now pulled towards the glass.
  • The glass now slides in a grove which allows it's installation without the need for glue.
  • The glass is now imbedded in the print and more plastic is printed on top which prevents the glass from coming out. Please Note:
    • The print should be stopped after 40mm (layer 200 if printing at 0.2mm layer height)_, insert the glass, and resume the print.
    • For the 1x1x6 version, the microscope slide glass should be cut to a length of 35mm using a glass cutter. A glass cutting jig for this dimension is included in the models
  • The round magnet holes in the feet have been changed to hexagon which allows for pressure fitting the magnets without the need of glue (of course you can still use glue if you'd like)

_Note:_The tolerances for the glass channel and the magnet hexagon are pretty tight so I have also include the f3d file if you need to tweak those for your printer.
