Get 3D models from all the sci-fi universes, even those that don't exist yet. We start with the Hyperion Cantos, a series of science fiction novels by Dan Simmons. The title was originally used for the collection of the first pair of books in the series, Hyperion and The Fall of Hyperion, and later came to refer to the overall storyline, including Endymion, The Rise of Endymion, and a number of short stories. More narrowly, inside the fictional storyline, after the first volume, the Hyperion Cantos is an epic poem written by the character Martin Silenus covering in verse form the events of the first two books.

These Star Wars-themed earrings were designed via the Automated Earring Generator, which was created by Professor Olaf Diegel in PicoGK, an open-source computational design package, developed by LEAP 71.

PicoGK normally functions from within a ‘console app’, a program that interacts with the user through a text-based interface, typically a command line. This can make it hard for non-computer wizards to interact with it and change parameters for the products they want to design.

So Professor Diegel designed the automatic earring generator as a GUI-based Windows form-driven PicoGK app. Something a bit more along the lines of apps that ‘regular’ people use. You can also get Olaf Diegel's Automated Earring Generator files here: https://lnkd.in/emXR7Wpv

Happy Star Wars Day!
