Female Skeleton Rib Cage Chest Armor
A dark and striking female chest armor design inspired by a stylized skeleton rib cage. This piece blends gothic fantasy, dark armor aesthetics, and a sculpted anatomical look, making it a strong choice for cosplay, LARP, photoshoots, costume builds, dark fantasy characters, and display pieces.
It works especially well for necromancer, undead queen, dark warrior, vampire, demon, witch, or fantasy villain concepts. It can also be scaled down for action figures, statues, or diorama costume parts.
📏 Measuring Instructions
Before scaling, measure these areas on the person who will wear the armor:
Chest width – from one side of the chest to the other Bust circumference Underbust circumference Shoulder width – especially useful because this piece includes shoulder coverage Torso height – from upper chest/collarbone area down to the point where you want the armor to end Side torso depth – to help judge how much wraparound coverage you want
Open the model in your slicer and compare the digital dimensions to your real measurements. For best results, scale uniformly first, then check whether the chest width and vertical length both still feel right.
Fit tip: If the printed part needs slight shaping, you can carefully use a hairdryer or a heat gun on low to fine-tune the fit. Warm it slowly and reshape a little at a time.
🎨 Finishing Tips
For the cleanest result, lightly sand the print, apply primer, and then build your paint layers gradually. A matte or satin finish usually works especially well for dark armor styles.
Color ideas: Matte black for a clean gothic armor look Bone white / aged ivory for a skeletal or necromancer style Gunmetal or dark steel for a heavy fantasy armor finish Antique bronze for a darker regal look Black with red or purple weathering for a cursed or magical effect
A basic finishing workflow:
sand lightly apply primer add basecoat use washes or dry brushing to bring out the rib details seal with matte or satin varnish
Dry brushing across the raised edges can help the rib structure stand out nicely.
