A tile for hextraction!

Rules: on play, remove the key from the back of the tile and add it to your Inventory.* While the key is in your inventory, on your turn you may lock or unlock the tile before or after rolling. 

\* Inventory is a new term I've come up with to mean "accessories to tiles that you keep alongside your hand." Effects etc. can interact with the inventory.

Print one of every part, connect everything with three M3 screws.

A tile for Hextraction!

This tile allows one ball to roll through, then traps the next ball. I've also included a version with a hole so that after the first ball goes through, subsequent balls get voided instead of blocked. I have not tested that version yet.

Print one tile base and one flipper, and attach the flipper with an M3 screw.

This tile is exactly the same as the Balls are Stored in the P tile, except it is less likely to offend your friends and family.

Every time a ball falls off the board when this tile's exit is not facing downwards, place that ball inside this tile. Before destroying this tile, rotate it to any orientation.
Forbidden: Balls stored in the worm hole trigger the 3 ball rule at 5 balls.

These are tiles for Hextraction!

There are 8 different variants of this tile; for all of them, a ball down the left channel opens the central channel, and a ball down the right channel blocks the central channel (or vice versa depending on the orientation of the shuttle).

Print 1 base tile, one shuttle, and two caps. If you have a tile with a hole in the middle (?O?), then use the unindented shuttle. If you have a tile with no hole in the middle (?X?) use the indented shuttle. If you have a tile with a hole on the left (O??), use the left curve cap, otherwise use a straight cap. Same thing for the right cap. Print, insert the shuttle into the slot, and attach the caps with four M3 screws. Make sure the caps are not upside-down; otherwise, the ball will not fit in the channel.

This is version 2 which fixes an issue where the center hole on ?O? tiles was too high up, causing the ball to get stuck on board clips.

A tile for Hextraction: the Shuttle Lock Tile

If a ball goes through the left channel, a ball will be able to go through the first half of the middle channel, then a ball needs to go through the right channel in order to free the ball in the middle.

Print 1 tile, 2 shuttles (or 2 mirrored shuttles), and 2 caps. I find that the indented shuttles work better than the unindented ones. Insert the shuttles into the slots, then attach the caps with M3 screws. Make sure not to put the caps upside-down, or balls will not fit. Using mirrored shuttles will make the right channel open the top shuttle and left channel open the bottom shuttle.

A tile for Hextraction — this is a kind of latch tile.

If a ball goes through the top left entrance, it comes out the bottom left and sets the top middle path to go to the bottom right. If a ball goes through the top right entrance, it comes out the bottom right and sets the middle path to go to the bottom left.

You can also put the flipper half way when placing the tile to (most of the time) trap a ball in the middle until a ball goes down one of the sides.

Print one of each part, attach flipper to tile with an M3 screw. I used an M3x10mm, but other sizes should work too.

Turn your game of Hextraction into a game of chess! 

The rules are a bit complicated, so I haven't even attempted to make rules cards for these... 

Terms: 
- Move: remove this tile from the board and move it to a different slot
- Capture: remove this tile from the board, remove another tile from the board, and put this tile where the other one was.
- In Check: a King Tile is in check if another tile can capture it when it is triggered.

Each tile has a trigger: when a ball rolls into the central area of the tile, the tile can move or capture.

Pawn:
- Moves up the board only
- Captures diagonally up only
- En Passant: if during the previous turn, a tile was placed in a third-from-the-top slot, and it is diagonally down from this tile, capture that tile, but move into the tile above the captured tile.
- Promotion: if a pawn moves or captures into the top row, you may discard the pawn and Create a Queen tile in its place.

Queen: 
- Moves or captures up, down, or diagonally as many spaces as you want. Cannot move through other tiles.

Knight:
- Moves or captures either up one tile and diagonally up one tile, or down one tile and diagonally down one tile. Can move through other tiles on its way.

Bishop:
- Moves or captures diagonally as many spaces as you want. Cannot move through other tiles.

Rook:
- Moves or captures up or down as many spaces as you want. Cannot move through other tiles.
- Castling: may swap places with a king tile that is on the same horizontal position (not diagonally up or down, but directly sideways). Castling is allowed even if the King is in check.

King: 
- Moves or captures up, down, or diagonally, one tile at a time. 
- Cannot move to a position that puts it in check.

If any piece captures a King Tile, the player who moved the piece wins.

Limit for all tiles: you cannot place a tile that would cause a King Tile to be in check (this does not apply when moving or capturing obviously)

Have you ever thought to yourself, wouldn't it be cool if there was a fidget spinner tile? No? Why would that even be useful? Well TOO BAD because I made one. In fact, it is not useful, but it is silly.

Same hardware as the Sozu tile.

Use the Tentacle Tile's three tentacles to disable traps, block paths, and generally cause chaos!

Print one tile and three "hands." Make sure you add supports underneath the central area. For each tentacle, take some AWG 22 wire, loop it through the hand, twist the wires together, stick the two ends through two of the holes in the tile, twist them together underneath the tile, and cut off any excess.

This is my first tile design for Hextraction, and it's a bit silly, but also pretty fun.

When you play the tile, you pull out the gates and carefully place the tile so the plastic balls don't fall out; roll your ball so it runs into the stack of balls in the shotgun, and watch as the plastic balls fly around (and off) the board tripping traps along the way! It works maybe 50% of the time, so it's more of a spray and pray type deal.

Print 1 tile, 2 gates, and 4 balls. 

For the balls, you probably will want a brim; and print with 100% infill. The heavier they are, the better they perform.
