creaserra

Hi :)

My name is Javier Serra and thanks to my passion for design and 3D printing I created my own studio: creaserra

I am currently an industrial design and mechanical engineering student based in Madrid.

My goal is to create functional models that benefit from the advantages offered by FDM technology, to share them with you, as well as to learn about this new manufacturing method and develop my skills as a designer, always taking into account the environment. Follow me on my path and let's keep creating together!

Cork is a curious 3D printed planter, which with pieces of corks makes it unique: both for being able to pin notes on it and for its super absorbent tray.

Has it ever happened to you that you don't remember if you have already watered your plant or not, or that you are going to leave it in the hands of someone who doesn't know what plant it is and how many times it has to be watered? Cork and its integrated notes have the solution, you can put notes of what you want and improve your relationship with your plant!

To assemble it you just have to print the body and the tray, which have grooves so you can put the cork pieces you cut (surely you have at home from a bottle of wine). You should cut each cork stopper in 4/5 pieces (You need 9 in total). Some are inserted and will stay in place, for others you will need to use some glue.

Cork is very absorbent, so you won't have water leaks and you can water your plants with peace of mind :)

For printing I used 0,2 mm layer height, 20% infill and at least 3 contour walls. The body/planter need supports for the groove.
