Happy Holidays! Give the gift of tiles this season with the Present Tile. A harmless way to discard a tile from your hand, while gifting it to someone else. 

**Rules Card Text**
Trigger: Gift a tile from your hand to an opponent.

**Printing / Assembly Instructions**
1. Print the tile base, 2 short ribbons, and 1 main ribbon. I printed the short ribbons top down. I printed the main ribbon on it's side. I needed a brim with my silver silk PLA but not my gold silk, just luck of the draw.
2. Glue the long ribbon first (just in case). It goes on the longest line between two corners.
3. Glue the short ribbons on.
4. For the card, you can drag the details and base into your slicer at the same time to get the model ready, then assign filament as desired. Or, you can print the single model version. Gifter's choice!

If you want to _try_ printing the model as a whole, I've supplied the files to do so, but I would discourage this for filament waste and quality reasons. Assembly just requires glue, and I try to design my tiles to not require MMS systems or to minimize filament waste when using one.

For an unofficial and devious rule modifier consider requiring that this gifted tile cannot be discarded that turn, forcing the opponent to discard one of their own. 


Hextraction Present Tile

I've designed a series of tiles representing Vigors from BioShock Infinite - tonics the player consumes to gain a myriad of powers. Each tile is designed to look like the unique Vigor bottles, with their powers captured as game effects.

**Rules Card Text**
On Play: Push or Pull a tile in line of sigh with one of Undertow's edges. Push: Move the target tile away from Undertow until it is blocked by another tile or the edge of the board. Pull: move the target tile next to Undertow.

**Printing / Assembly Instructions - _Please Read Before Printing_**
I've provided various options to help those who don't have multi material systems, or to minimize filament waste if you do. I also included 3mf files.

Undertow Tile
- MMS: Drag undertow_tile_base and undertow_tile_octo_surface into your slicer together. Assign colors and print.
- No-MMS: Same as above, but pause and swap filaments for the surface details.

Undertow Icon (Print twice if using it in the card - see the card section)
- MMS: Drag undertow_icon_base, undertow_icon_foreground, undertow_icon_octopus into your slicer together. Assign colors and print.
  -  If you want to minimize filament swaps, print the foreground separately and glue it on.
- No-MMS: Drag undertow_icon_base and undertow_icon_top into your slicer together. Pause and swap filaments for the top section. 
  - You may also choose to print the icon as a single unit (undertow_icon_single). 
  - If you want as close to the 3 color variant as possible, you could print the base and octopus with a swap, then print the foreground separately and glue it on.

Glue the Undertow Icon onto the tile.

Undertow Card
I've designed this to use the same icon as the tile, but you can absolutely forgo that extra work and just slice the solid stl as you please (undertow_card_full). Otherwise, print a second Icon to use with the card and continue:
- MMS: Drag undertow_card_base and undertow_card_detail into your slicer together. Assign colors and print.
- No-MMS: Same as above, but pause and swap filaments for the surface details.
  - Or use the undertow_card_no_icon_one_piece stl and slice as you please.

Glue the Undertow Icon onto the card.


Hextraction Undertow Tile

Ragnarök begins when Jörmungandr the World Serpent makes it to the board.
Introducing the first _customizable-triple-folding-combo-forbidden-effect-tile_ for Hextraction! Let's get into it.

This tile is a triple folding combo: each tile is connected via links and magnets keep it closed when not in use. Simply unfold, tuck the long link into the middle, and place it on the board if space is available. 

Its customizable: the tail can be swapped out for any standard double lane tile (e.g. original [double lanes](https://thangs.com/designer/NoStepOnDeez/3d-model/Hextraction%20Double%20Lane%20Tiles-1061128) or my [Riptide exit](https://thangs.com/designer/cadeluca/3d-model/Hextraction%20Riptide%20Tile-1130359?source=mymodels)). The head and middle cannot be swapped, else the assembly couldn't deploy or fold properly.

The forbidden effect: Honestly, I suggest voting the effect off and enjoying the novelty of the tile itself, but it's there if you want it! Overdrive without a full board is the diastrous reality of Ragnarök, and is thus Forbidden. If you are a fan of Norse mythos **_and_** have a ton of Hammer tiles, you are in luck.

**Rules Card Text**
Forbidden - Ongoing: Overdrive is active while this tile is on the board. This tile can only be destroyed by a Hammer tile.

**Assembly Instructions**
1. Print the 3 body tiles, 1 standard link, and 1 long link. 
2. Match the shorter link slots up on the Tail and Middle. Put the standard link in place and jam snippets of filament through the hinge axis, then cut the filament flush.
3. Match the Head to the Middle's longer link slot. Put the long link in place, repeat the filament hinge install step.
4. Test that balls can roll through and that the combo folds properly. When folding, the bottom of Head and Middle should contact, and the top of Middle and Tail should contact.
5. (Optional) Glue 4 6x2mm magnets in place (Head: 1 on bottom; Middle: 1 on top and bottom; Tail: 1 on top).

Hextraction World Serpent Tile

Block and fill the gutter using the Seawall tile for Hextraction! Seawall's wall is the trigger zone - when triggered, you'll plug the hole that ball went through with a random tile from the pool. Note, according to the default wording of these rules, if the ball falls into the hole from itself it doesn't overwrite itself with a new tile. At high enough speed the ball can make it through the straight channel, but typically this will serve as a trap for passerby.

**Rules Card Text**
Trigger: Spawn a tile in the empty slot this ball fell in.

**Printing / Assembly Instructions**
Print the wall, bottom tile piece, and top tile piece. I had a little bit of stringing in the bottom model, I might recommend a tiny bit of support under the middle ring overhangs. Click fit the wall into the bottom with the star side facing up so it is visible from above when closed. Glue the top tile piece to the bottom, and you're done!
For the rules card, if printing with multi-material: drag both the base and detail STLs into your slicer simultaneously, loading it as one object with multiple parts, just like the lid. Assign filaments as desired. A single piece STL is also provided.


Hextraction Seawall Tile

Tag and collect destroyed tiles with the Sonar Tile for Hextraction!

Similar to my [Battleship Tile](https://thangs.com/designer/cadeluca/3d-model/Hextraction%20Battleship%20Tile-1127846), the tile face features a grid, but here the grid is relative to the placement of Sonar, centered on the tile. This tile fiddles with ownership as a game feature - the one who plays it gets the effect, for better or for worse. Built in storage lets you keep the pegs from getting lost under the couch (where many of my 10mm balls live). Remember to discard down to max hand size when collecting surplus tiles.

**Rules Card Text**
Ongoing: When a ball is trapped in a tile, place a peg in the matching relative hole. When a marked tile is destroyed, the player who placed this Sonar Tile draws that tile to their hand.

**Printing / Assembly Instructions**
Everything is printed in PLA. The tile base and lid are separate pieces. 

The lid is divided to let you swap for the accent color section without needing a MMS. Drag the lid and lid accent STLs into your slicer together, and assign filaments as desired. Or, slice and dice the single STL. Print it face-down. 

Print as many pegs as you'd like. The max size on the model's face is 18, but I haven't tested if 18 fit inside the tile. I personally use 6 pegs as a natural effect limiter. These were printed with a brim. 

Once you have everything printed, press the lid into place, and store the pegs in the cavity.

For the rules card, if printing with multi-material: drag both the base and detail STLs into your slicer simultaneously, loading it as one object with multiple parts, just like the lid. Assign filaments as desired. Single STL provided here too.

Hextraction Sonar Tile

Cast a stuck ball out to sea with this folding combo effect tile! 

The Riptide tile is the first [Double Lane](https://thangs.com/designer/NoStepOnDeez/3d-model/Hextraction%20Double%20Lane%20Tiles-1061128) folding tile to have an effect (beyond _opening_ it). Balls trapped in adjacent tiles to the effect tile get rolled down the ramp, thus forced into the other tile half. A standard Riptide half is included, but being a double lane remix - you can mix and match with any of the 16 (at time of writing) tile halves! I list my recommendations in the Assembly section.

**Rules Card Text**
Ongoing: If able, roll stuck balls in adjacent tiles down this tile's ramp. Ignore balls that are part of a tile.

**Printing / Assembly Instructions**
Choosing the non-effect half:
- If using the standard half, simply print the model.
- If customizing with a [Double Lane](https://thangs.com/designer/NoStepOnDeez/3d-model/Hextraction%20Double%20Lane%20Tiles-1061128), print your choice but don't cut the indexing tabs yet. Double lane tiles purposely allow different orientations, but Riptide locks placement to three orientations. Technically you could cut them all, but if you're like me you'll want to only cut the correct tabs. Some suggestions that I think will pair well are: _DC, DI, IC, IH, Kite, Reroute, VF, W, X, yF, yV_.

For the Riptide effect tile, you can choose to print the single-part model (and paint/apply layer changes if you'd like) or assemble my multi-part model. If doing the latter:
1. Print each piece separately. I would suggest matching the color of the non-effect half with the base color of the effect half, but go crazy with colors for fun variants - I went for a beach theme per the tile concept. 
2. If you want a strong connection, apply glue in between the pieces. My pieces fit snugly, so I didn't use any. Press the middle onto the base, apply glue again, then press the top on. 

Combo Assembly:
1. Print and insert one link in the hinge slot, jam a snippet of filament into the hinge axis, then loosely cut the filament. Repeat for the second half, joining the two.
2. Close the combo and precisely flush-cut the filament. Play-test a ball through the both double openings.
3. If using a Double Lane substitute, now is the time to test it out on the board and decide which tabs to cut. Following Riptide's dessign, this would typically mean cutting just three tabs.
4. (Optional) Glue in two 6x2mm magnets with one reversed. Glue two more on the other half, with proper polarity alignment. This will allow the tile to close nicely. Make sure to reference any existing Double Lane tiles you may have to allow for future swapping of halves, if desired.

If you've read this far... should this have been named Rip Current? Maybe, but Riptide sounds cooler.

Hextraction Riptide Tile

It's a hit! Send ships and tiles to the bottom of the sea with this new tile for Hextraction.

Place ships on the tile face during setup. When a ball rolls through this tile, place a peg in a ship. Once that ship is full of pegs, it's sunk! Remove it and destroy _every tile_ in the corresponding slots on the board. This tile cannot be destroyed by it's own effect. Once all ships are gone, destroy this tile and put everything neatly away - you'll thank me later!

The tile face respresents a standard hextraction board. If your board has one more row, I've supplied the Extended Lid. If you have non-standard board shapes/sizes, interpret the grid positioning as you'd like! 

**Rules Card Text**
Setup: Place 1-3 ships on the tile.
Trigger: Place a peg in a ship. If that sinks the ship, destroy all non-Battleship tiles in the matching slots on the board. Destroy this tile when all ships are sunk.

**Printing / Assembly Instructions**
Everything is printed in PLA. The tile base and lid are two pieces, lid should be printed face-down, same for the pegs and ships. I needed a brim on the pegs and ships.Assembly is simply click-fit the lid to the base. Feel free to mix up your ship sizes/quantity, but the default is 1 each of the 2, 3 and 4 length (and the correct quantity of pegs per hole). Tolerance is a bit tight to keep things from falling out during play. I can supply tolerance modifications if requested. To produce my standard tile configuration, print:
- 1x battleship_tile_base
- 1x battleship_standard_lid **OR** 1x battleship_extended_lid
- 1x battleship_boat_2L
- 1x battleship_boat_3L
- 1x battleship_boat_4L
- 9x battleship_peg

Coming up with a workable ruleset was a challenge for this tile. The biggest baked-in issue is that if your board is non-standard, you'll have to get creative with mapping the tile face grid to the real board. A different tile I have in the works will work with relative positions. Let me know your feedback! Hextraction Battleship Tile

Lying in wait for a gutter ball, the Naval Mine will save your roll - at the cost of all surrounding tiles!

This tile is a gutter recovery with surface pathing, which is different from existing gutter recovery options. The effect is a 1-shot trigger, effectively just a quicker bomb tile but requiring activation via the gutter. Since the explosive effect is tied to On Destroy, it can also be triggered by the 3-ball rule.

**Rules Card Text**
Limit: Cannot be placed in bottom row.
Trigger: Destroy this tile.
On Destroy: Destroy all adjacent tiles.

**Printing / Assembly Instructions**
Everything is printed in PLA. You've got two options: print the tile and ramp separate and glue together using the guide pins, or print the whole unit (naval_mine_joined_tile_ramp). In either case, the mine decoration is separate.
I printed the Mine with .12 layer height and applied some slicer settings (like dynamic layer height + smoothing). I doubt you would need support, but I left it on and it filled the mount hole which would otherwise bridge. 
I printed the Gutter Ramp opening-face down, with support on and set to touching build plate only. 
Lastly, I printed the tile in standard orientation, with support on and set to touching build plate only. If your slicer/printer supports adaptive layer height, I would suggest using it here to smooth the waves.

Naval Mine Tile
1. Align the ramp in the correct direction, lining it up with the tabs. Glue it to the tile.
2. Glue the mine in whatever orientation you'd like to the top of the tile, using the hexagonal pin. This didn't come out as clean as I'd hoped, so it's just a rough guide, but gets the job done of centering the piece.

Hextraction Naval Mine Tile

Just a simple visual tweak to [NoStepOnDeez's ](https://thangs.com/designer/NoStepOnDeez)[Mechanical Link Tile](https://thangs.com/designer/NoStepOnDeez/3d-model/Hextraction%20Mechanical%20Link%20Tile-1061125). Print it face down like you would the standard lid. I did not use support.


Hextraction Mechanical Link Tile Gear Lid

I'm not a huge fan of words on Hextraction tiles, so I made this version of the [Terramorphic Tile](https://thangs.com/designer/ZackFreedman/3d-model/Hextraction%3A%20The%20Terramorphic%20Tile-939110) top face which substitutes the rule text with 3 basic tile cutouts. No particular rhyme or reason behind the choices. 

I chose to print each piece of the Terramorphic Tile separately and glued it all together. If you did the same, I do not expect you'd go through the trouble again, but now this option lives out in the void.

Hextraction Terramorphic Tile Wordless Top

_"Six bullets. More than enough to kill anything that moves."_ - Revolver Ocelot

Five shots will have to do! Take this six-shooter for a whirl if you are looking for a different take on the existing Revolver Tile. Like the original, the whole tile is a trigger zone. When a ball rolls through it, turn the cylinder to release one ball from a chamber. All orientations are legal, so when placing choose carefully where to 'aim' the chute path. If a ball somehow ends up in a chamber, consider it a tacticool reload!   

**Rules Card Text**
Setup: Line up a chamber with the chute. Load balls into remaining chambers. Balls in chambers do not count for the 3-ball rule.
Trigger: Turn cylinder any direction to release one ball.

**Hardware**
One 10mm M3 screw. You may be able to get away with longer, but 10mm suffices. I recommend an M3 flat washer.

**Printing / Assembly Instructions**
Everything is printed in PLA. I printed the mount plate face down (so pins face up) with supports, which filled in the track where the balls sit. Other models do not need support and are self-explanatory.

Six Shooter Tile
1. Install the M3 screw through the top of the spinner, through the recommended washer if used, into the mount plate. Make sure its tight so that it doesn't rotate freely, but you can turn it.
2. Apply glue to the mounting pins and contact faces. Line it up, slot the plate into the tile base, and give it time to dry.

Rules Card
- Multi-material: drag six_shooter_card_base.stl and six_shooter_card_details.stl into your slicer simultaneously, loading it as one object with multiple parts. Assign filaments as desired.
- Single-material: print the single color model, or if you want multi-color add a pause and perform a filament swap.



Hextraction Six Shooter Tile

A manual triple dispenser tile with a **_divider_** down the middle to break things up!

**Note: Images are of a prototype version of the spinner for a thematic remix I am developing. The only difference between the provided files and imagery is the added star.**
Two tile base options are provided: the 'standard' with bottom-left and bottom-right exits, and the 'advanced' version with an additional bottom-middle exit. If using the standard version, it is intended that balls on one side of the spinner remain in the tile when you turn it the opposite direction. If using the advanced version, they'll instead exit from the middle. Choose which behavior you'd like or print them both!

**Rules Card Text**
Setup: Spinner must be oriented as shown. _(Default position is shown on the rules card: with the spinner middle arm aligned vertically with the notched bottom side of the tile)_
Trigger: If 3 balls are in this, turn spinner in one direction until it locks, then activate Setup.

**Hardware**
One M3 screw, I used a 10mm. You can get away with shorter, and I haven't tried longer but it might be a tight fit.

**Printing / Assembly Instructions**
I printed everything in PLA. I didn't use supports. I recommend printing the spinner in a contrasting color from the base, and printing the card details contrasting from the card.

Divider Tile 
1. Print the spinner star-side down. Print a base of your choosing.
2. Align the spinner over the hole, with the locking peg in the path, and install the M3 screw from under the tile. Make sure it is tight enough that a ball won't move the spinner, but a player can turn it.

Rules Card
- Multi-material: drag DIVIDER_CARD_BASE.stl and DIVIDER_CARD_DETAILS.stl into your slicer simultaneously, loading it as one object with multiple parts. Assign filaments as desired. You may also use the 3MF and assign filaments to bodies.
