So, here is my go at a universal articulating mount for holiday lighting props. The design is modular and makes an attempt to cover most situations that arise when trying to mount or place a prop in a particular location.

Here are some of the features this mount has:

(3) pivot points: The base, the extension, and the extension base. Having these three pivot points allows for many different configurations to be accomplished, as well as working on any roof pitch.

Removable bases: The main base and the extension base are removable, to allow for many different types of bases to be attached. In the pictures, a magnet base is attached, but new bases will be designed for shingles, gutters, soffit, J/F Channel, brick, vinyl inside/outside corners, yard stakes, screw mount, and others.

Adjustable extension: The extension post length is adjustable, allowing for the extension base to reach different areas and/or heights.
