Awesome print and flies amazingš Next one is the 3.5 inch frame to printš Can't wait to fly the new one too!
Thanks for sharing your buildāgreat work on the print and assembly! I see you also used a CF pattern build plate š
Nice touch for using pink TPU and PB&J Ethix props. Clean remix on the action camera mount as well.
Excited to see your 3.5" build next! Remember that you can use those same pink TPU mounts for that build as well. Intentionally designed it that way, making it easy to share the DJI Air Unit between builds.
Mounts for the DJI O4 pro is coming soon, stay tuned š
Happy flying!
Love the frame brotha, wondering if you could make a vtx holder for the GEPRC MATEN 5.8G 1.6W as i would love to make an analog drone out of this frame. 03 and 04s are impossible to get here in canada, it would mean the world to me if you could help me out. either way love your work man!
Very cool design! I'm about to build it. I have a small question: For the flight controller and esc, why you chosen to combine various brands that is Mamba and Foxeer? The stacked options of both brands look comparable and the intuition is telling me components of the same brand can cooperate better. But I might be missing something important...
Great question! I wanted a higher-rated ESC for a bit of extra insurance, and the Foxeer offered the specs I was looking for while still fitting the 20 x 20 mounting pattern. As for the flight controller, I actually already had the Mamba on hand and really like its form factor, so I decided to use it. Youāre absolutely right, either brandās full stack would have worked and presumably integrate better, but I just went with a mix and match approach for my build with what I have on hand š
Great design! Which TPU brand are you using?
For this build, I used GIANTARM Transparent TPU (95A). I believe others TPU's would suffice š
I can't wait to print this frame! What kind of infill do you prefer for the PET-CF parts?
I'm excited to hear you're interested in printing this frame!
For the PET-CF parts, I personally used, and would recommend, 75% - 80% infill density with the Rectilinear pattern. This pattern provides long, continuous lines that help improve stiffness, especially at higher infill percentagesāa great fit for PET-CF parts. In addition, I also used 4 walls, to further improve stiffness.
I'd love to see how your build turns out, so please don't forget to share your make once it's complete!
Great Model, maybe you could make a holder for a Walksnail Moonlight Cam and vtx?
I have an ESC that came with 1000mF capacitor, too big for the prepared hole. I'd need to make the hole bigger (14mm radius). I'm happy to do the modification on my own, but would it be possible to publish the volumetric representation of the model, please, such as f3d? The STL is not that easy to manipulate with. The model I'm interested in is "Bottom Frame (20 x 20 Stack - M2 Holes).STL".
Hi Vladimir,
Sorry for the delayed response, Iāve been busy with other projects. I can make the modification for you with 30.5 Ć 30.5 mm mounting hole spacing, as well as adjust the opening for your capacitor. Will post it shortly š
Thanks!
Thanks a bunch! I believe my build can commence very soon...
In the 30x30 version of frame that was added later - I noticed the spacing between holes is really 30mm. But it seems to me that typically the mounting holes are 30.5mm away https://www.foxeer.com/foxeer-reaper-f4-128k-65a-bl32-4in1-9-40v-esc-30-5-30-5mm-m3-g-420.
Hi I a building this but I have an issue, How I am supposed to mount the F722 mini on my 30x30 esc ? I don't see a file that does it (like a 30x30 to 20X20)
Thanks for reaching out! Unfortunately, I didnāt include a 30x30 to 20x20 adapter in the available part designs. However, these adapters are easy to find, just search for ā30x30 to 20x20 flight controller adapterā and you should see plenty of options.
And If you can, could you design a DJI Air unit 04 Lite version ? it could be soooo great !
I agree, a mount for that is definitely needed and I plan to make one soon. I still need to get a DJI Air Unit 04 Lite for testing, currently I have the DJI 03 and O4 Pro in my collection š.
