Axolotl was on my design list for a long time, and Axie is finally here! This is also the first STLkrew model of 2026, and this year I’m planning to bring a lot more color into new designs and future releases 🎨

Axie is a fully articulated, print-in-place model that prints as one single piece — no supports and no assembly required. Just print and enjoy smooth, wiggly joints straight off the bed.

One of the highlights of Axie is the 4 different face gill / fin styles included in the files. You can easily switch between looks, and there’s also a special heart-shaped gill version, perfect for Valentine’s themed prints 💖

Axie is designed as a 2-color body print, making it quick to print and easy to experiment with different color combinations.

For the eyes, you get two options: Print the full model with eyes included for zero assembly Or use the split-eye version (separate white + black parts) for a faster 2-color print profile and more flexibility with colors

To make Axie even more versatile, the 3MF file includes a built-in keychain slot, so you can turn it into a bag charm, keychain, or small desk buddy.
