Description

Hey, this mechanism is a variation of the Brain Gear and was pioneered by Hoberman in their Brain Twist toy. It's mechanically the brother of the Gear Cube and turns a Tetrahedron into its dual tetrahedron. It actually switches shapes even though it does not look like it, since it switches into the same shape.

You need: 12 gears 6 Connectors 24 pins There are also "All" files that have everything you need for a full assembly.

Print Settings: Standard no Supports. If you are printing the multicolor version, enable "Use Beam interlocking" or the equivalent in your slicer. Or use the presliced File.

Technical Info: Print time: 5 hours Filament usage 75g This is for a single color print. Since dual color printers vary a lot in speed.

have tried printing the connectors 3 times now, first pla, second abs and finally with carbon fiber - one leg always breaks inserting them. any suggestions? uses same print settings as with other of your connectors. thanks

I just added 2 stronger versions of the pin and connector. Hopefully they fix your issue.
