The Keychron K2 HE (special edition) has wood trims on the sides. I want to create storage space for the USB dongle, this is step 1; recreating the trims.

• my models were 127 mm long, whereas the original apparently is 126.8, adjusted the left model had a ridge that was not supposed to be there, which prevented mounting, ridge removed

**Step 2 is in the works; **

• I already created the model; -- a set where the USB dongle in on the top side (not nice, but practical), and one on the bottom (hole hidden from view) -- for both a variant with press-fit, using friction to hold the dongle in, and a variant with a tiny 2mm magnet

After printing I noticed I need bigger tolerance for the USB plug, so the models are delayed a bit.

Upgrade! On Febuary 1, 2025;

I added the 304.5 mm long bezel (both sides identical)

I don't have a big enough printer yet. My Ender 5 can fit it diagonally, but appears to be 7mm off over the full length, and that's too large, even for the diagonal. My Tenlog TLD3 Pro is large enough, but is still out of action.

So I have to print each in 2 parts.

Printing suggestions

For best strength, I would suggest print in the Z direction, but this will be challenging on most printers. Myself I printed them on the standing up, with the longest stretch in the X/Y direction. This requires supports, and I found that tree-supports with .2 mm (1 layer) z-distance for the supports works just fine. Will be posting a make soon.

Oh, and a tip for printing diagonally; be sure to make the top, bottom and infill directions 0 and 90 degrees where applicable instead of 45 and 135.
