If you are a fan of F1 or enjoy cars and motorsports, you might be interested in this keychain. It is inspired by the famous F1 slicks, and unlike the real tires, you can take this keychain with you anywhere you go!

The tire spins on its axle, making it a great tool for relieving boredom or fidgeting!

As seen in the picture, there is a normal tire variant and one with a hub styled similiar the wheel pods used in modern-day F1 and other motorsports for their aerodynamic properties.

Assembly: Both versions of the keychain come in two styles, one that is a single piece that can be split into parts in your slicer for multicolor printing. And another style where the hub, tire, axle, keychain attachment point and decorative colors are all separate pieces printed separately and glued together.

(Helpful tip: when gluing the hub in the wheel, put a few small daps of glue inside the tire and insert the hub bottom first (so that if there is residue, it is not on the front of the wheel). Use an alcohol prep pad or other super glue solvent to wipe up any excess glue to prevent discoloration of your printed part)

Print Settings:

No Supports

0.1mm layerheight (this is especially important for the wheel hubs as they have supports predesigned in that need to be printed at 0.1mm to function correctly)

(These supports are printed on the underside of the wheel and can be removed with a set of needle nose plyers, if you are having difficulty with removing the supports use the plyers to bend the arms of the supports towards each other, this should loosen them further)

If you want the multicolor aesthetic for the axel you can simply use layer swaps (meaning you do not need a multi-color printer)

A brim may be necessary when printing the colored inserts for the tires, as they are pretty thin.
