I have designed a battery holder in the shape of a classic cartoon rocket. This has been done for ease of printing, provision of large internal volume and exterior aesthetics.

The 9V batteries modelled on were 16.6mm in width and 25.5mm in depth so to allow for tolerances the holes in the rocket are 18mm wide and 27mm deep.

The rocket itself is 110mm wide, 94mm deep and 192mm tall.

As well as being an interesting project which I had been wanting to tackle for a while, I also intend on entering this model into the #FunctionalArt competition here on Thangs.

The AAA batteries modelled on were 10mm in diameter so to allow for tolerances the holes in the rocket are 11.5mm in diameter.

The rocket itself is 110mm wide, 94mm deep and 192mm tall.
