Homemade Viewmaster Disc Clamp and Cutter #thangs100k

For Christmas this year we were giving my nephew a Viewmaster. While there are plenty of discs out there, they seemed dated to me. So I went about trying to make my own by finding pics on the internet. These parts were designed so that I could cut the overhead projector sheet circles using an Exacto blade, the type with the flat tip, that was heated to allow it to be melted through the slot in the cutter part. I used a 5mm bolt and nut. The same base part us used to do the cutting on and then also used to as the bottom of the clamp which held the hand cut card stock discs together while the glue sets. These were printed at 0.28 mm layer height and 10% infill.

Air Plant Cup #thangs100k

This is a very little cup designed to allow you to put an air plant into it. Originally created this for my niece to use in her ice cream stick planter frame. Prints without need of supports, 0.2 mm layer height and 10% infill.

Transformers Decepticon Key Cover #thangs100k

I had someone give me a key that was exactly the same as my apartment key. I designed this and the Autobot one as a means to differentiate them. This fits one of those hexagon head type keys. I printed this at 0.2 mm layer height and 10% infill. Then you will need to superglue the two parts together before inserting the key into it. The hardest part about this design is being able to pry the key ring open enough to get it on.

Transformers Autobot Key Cover #thangs100k

I recently had someone give me a key exactly the same as my apartment key and wanted to make something that would differentiate them. This Transformers Autobot key cover is designed to be printed on an FDM printer with supports, 0.2 mm layer height, 10% infill. It fits one of those hex style house key heads. The two parts will need to be superglued together and then place the key in the slot. The hardest part about this is trying to pry the keyring open large enough for it to fit.

Giant Caliper #thangs100k

This is the hole end of the giant caliper. Print it with the point sticking up without supports, 0.2 mm layer height, 10% infill. I used a 6 mm brim.
