Mercedes W13 concept design, based on Formula 1’s upcoming 2022 regulations. In 2022 F1 will dramatically change the cars aerodynamically in order to allow drivers to get closer and race harder. The use of venturi tunnels along the floor of the car will see the return of the 1970’s innovation known as ground effect, producing a huge amount downforce and reducing the need for complicated overbody aerodynamic surfaces which hinder the airflow for cars behind.
