The project files are organized into folders for easier printing and navigation. For that reason, stl file preview is turned off.

ABOUT THE PROJECT

The files are made with extra care and 3d printability in mind, so its a fairly simple print and assembly. Check out the photos to see what's included. Links for electronics and parts are also included.

Story time - as most of you might already know Darth Talon's lightsaber was made from dark coral, so i envisioned the design as something made from coral, ofcourse with coral texture, as well some braided shapes that come together and resemble a backbone (dark side and stuff :D).

The top and bottom have smooth, almost mirror like endings as I imagine the heat from lightsaber or crystal forming those when the hilt was created.

The "coral" textures are not only by design choice but they would also act as a grip texture which would be very useful in combat. I added both cut and uncut option, compatible both with filament and resin printers.

Other options/variations included are: - crystal can be separated and comes both solid and hollow if you wish to use extra led's /lights/resin or similar in that part - i added both functional and nonfunctional versions both with and without buttons for you to choose from.

Non functional option also has a fake emitter for the beam as well removable crystals as well. It uses my standard lightsaber electronics (link in project files), as well the standard m3x10 mm screws and m3 nuts to hold the blade in place.

How to insert the crystal and electronics:

  • very simple - from the top, both crystal and electronics and blade can and will be inserted from the top of the hilt. Use m3 screws and nuts to secure it all in place.

  • you can glue the crystal once you insert it if you choose to go for that option
