Moderate Weight-Bearing Snap

This model is restricted by licensing terms.

Moderate Weight Bearing Snaps can hold more weight than Regular Snaps. They only take weight in one direction and are inserted at an angle, with the arrow pointing upwards.

Printing Guidelines:

Use 3 perimeter wall thickness, 0.2 mm layer height, 15% infill, and no supports. Apart from that, use your printer's default settings.

The printing orientation is as provided in the file. Make sure the downloaded files are .STL. This part has been designed with a tolerance of 0.25 mm. Your printer will need to be able to bridge gaps of up to 30 mm for some designs.

I suppose you should add " - Flush" at the end of the title so its clear its not the raised one. So the title should be "Moderate Weight Bearing - Flush Snap", same as in the updated starter pack.

Flush is the new default for all snaps, "Raised" is the only one which requires the prefix.

What is considered moderate weight as compared to heavy weight?

I think the file currently linked to from this download is just a normal moderate weight bearing snap, it is not the flush snap described here.

Will this work with the multiboard with an 8mm offset? I want to use it for the bolt lock shelf system. Thanks.

I would like to request two features kindly:

  • "Flush Snaps as Remixing Files" – If possible, I’d appreciate having these as remixable files.
  • Small Thread Variations:
    • "Moderate Weight Bearing – Flush Snap"
    • "Multiboard – Flush Snap"

I experimented with creating a "Small Thread – Moderate Weight Bearing – Flush Snap" and found it extremely useful for attaching components to "9 mm Small Thread Flat Head T-Bolts". Having these as official models would be incredibly helpful!
