I have a lot of Ultralux LLVP1242 downlights at home. Every month I have to replace at least one or two of them, and it's gotten quite expensive (at 12-15 euro each), so I decided to convert them to regular GU10 LED bulbs.
This model allows you to mount GU10 bulbs instead of the factory LED module that is so overpowered that it burns out so quickly.
All you need is:
- a cheap GU10 socket (ceramic or whatever)
- a GU10 bulb you like (I used some 1000lm 4000K bulbs)
- Some glue (preferably one that won't melt, since some of these bulbs get pretty hot)
Use heat-resistant material for printing, such as ABS.
Now anytime I need to change the bulb it costs me 1-2 euros for the bulb instead of 12-15 for the whole lamp.
