Twisted Deco Planter

I've had a lot of requests for different planter shapes so here's a decahedron with a lil twist!

This planter works with the same mounts as all my other wall planters. Side note — I'm working on new mounts that combine both the command strips and screws. They'll work with all my existing wall planters (except the Heywood). Should be releasing those in the next few days!

Two sizes are available — 2.75" and 4.5". Would you guys want even larger sizes? I have tested a 6" size with the screw mount but I don't think the command strip mounts would hold it. Could definitely do larger tabletop sizes though.

I've also included tabletop versions that don't have the wall mount.

Supports None needed!

Scaling I wouldn't recommend scaling this one since it perfectly fits the command strips and the screw holes are designed specifically for #10-12 x 1-1/4 in anchors and screws.

Orientation The planter and tray should have their bottoms on the build plate. All mounts should have the sliding dovetail facing up.

Print Settings .2mm layer height 15% grid infill 2 walls

Filament & Hardware

  • Filament I used for this print: Hatchbox Olive Green Matte PLA
  • Command Medium Picture Hanging Strips
  • Hardware: #10-12 x 1-1/4 in screws

Filament and hardware/non 3D printed items for this model can be found on my Amazon Storefront, linked here: https://hendricks.design/links/

Used to have an Ender 3 and the wall mount printed fine, now have a Bambu Lab X1c and the underside of the print where the 3m strip sticks to, its stringy and actually breaks apart when i run my nail through it, so dont know if i trust it with command strips in the current state, tried with supports and it's better but still not 100% solid still. Is there a setting i can change to make that section better? Do i need to speed up my bridge so it doesn't drupe down as much before it solidify?

Yes. Larger 6in pots for tabletop versions

I'm not the designer, but I just wanted to say you should be able to scale the tabletop version to any size you want since you don't need to worry about the mount.
