I printed this on an A1 mini, including the dowel, which I had to heavily customize. I used the original dowel to create a custom male-to-female connector, and cropped the height of each dowel down to ~170mm, so they can print on my Bambu A1 Mini. Also took a lot to figure out how to get the light cable through the hole running along the inside of the dowel. There is a bit that unscrews that really took some force and I didn't really think was going to budge. But it was well worth the effort! Looks great, works great!

Would you be able to make a rod male or female on both ends so it could be longer than 2 pieces?

This is a solid suggestion. It would probably require more wall mounts for stability, but I like it!

any chance you got time to make this extension version ?

This looks fantastic. How did you add the "flare" to the lamp housing? Would you be able to share the file?

Absolutely beautiful light. Getting the cord to go through the rod requires something of a hat trick; would also suggest making the set screws have a shorter head, to allow spacing the planter further down. Used a different, 10W led grow light.

Which light did you use? I've been looking at mine and wondering how to fit a cord down such a narrow hole. Do parts of the light kit unscrew to push it through? I can't make sense of how the cord ends up inside this tube lol.

I love the look of this as a grow light much more than the touch light but am struggling to make sense of the wiring part and have held off on ordering the extra parts

You can take the pendant light kit apart to feed the cord through the post. Once you unscrew all the parts, you just have to loosen two screws that hold the wires onto the socket. Then you feed the wire through the post and put it all back together. It's pretty easy but maybe not super obvious how to initially get it all apart. I'll make a video showing how to do it!

You can no longer take these apart to access the screws (at least the ones I bought and they are the same ones you have in your amazon storefront) so the only way i see to do it, it to cut the wire and reconnect the cord.

I just ordered three from Amazon and was able to take them apart. the large screw part that comes off of the connector base took quite a bit of effort to detach. Once that comes off you can unscrew the tiny wire screws to disassemble completely.

Can you share link to the video? I’m looking to print this but I’m not sure how to run it through. Thanks!

I used Sansi's 10w bulbs - they're ~$4USD each if you get a 6 pack, love the optical lens and ventilated design.

The only way I could get the cord through was to cut it, and then solder/heatshrink it back together. Then hid the heatshrinked part inside the rod.

Not enough bed space to print the rod, so I scaled down to 94% and used a wooden dowel (broom handle) instead. Printed in matte PLA from Bambu, roughed it up with sandpaper and it looks like wood now. Set screws deteriorated and wouldn't hold so ended up glueing the top and bottom instead, sadly. Light and pot held fine though.

This is great! Is there an option that has a bigger planter pot? I like the pot that comes with this, just wish there was also a 4.5" version like The Rail includes. Any idea if that's in the works or a different similar one that I could mix and match?

Used the existing rod pieces to create a m2f extension, with an added mount/support. Suggested Light fixtures do come apart as described but definitely take some effort. Lots of compliments on this piece. Thanks for creating!

Hello. Me too I need a longer set screw. the normal one and the 25mm one are the same dimensions...

thank you

Anychance you could edit these for a 180X180X180 A1 Mini bed? I don’t want to make it smaller and risk ruining the threads. Happy to have 2 joining parts with threads :) I tried in Fusion but I'm rubbish

Nossa, eu também gostaria disso. Todas as vezes que redimensionei proporcionalmente os projetos, não imprimem corretamente

Is there a reason I never see these printed in white? I'd like it in white, but am wondering if there is some reason I shouldn't.

I downloaded the files but don't seem to find that bottom tray/holder that is in the photos?

Edit: nvm!

Hi, I printed all the parts which all of them SUPER!! I'll upload photos soon but small question - Is there an option to add the "grow light housing" but the wider one like in the other model you have which called the "grow light planter" model. In this way the light can focus on more plants around the wall and not only the plant on the rods Thanks in advance!

love the design - is there a possibility that you could make an connecting rod piece ? it would just be the same length but at the top the male threads and at the bottom female threads. this way we can have a longer extended version of the pole ? Cheers

Ryan V

Working on the trial print of this right now. Is there a way to get an updated model of the bulb housing with the newer style threaded holes? I initially printed the ones in this file and had some issues, but printed out the newer ones from The Rail and they worked way better. Thanks either way, all your models are winners.

Hi! I messaged you on IG but forgot I could do it through here as well. How did you run the power cord through the poles? I bought the exact lamp wire (used your referral code), but I thought I might have been able to just unscrew it at the base. No luck. Did you cut and splice the wire?

I would like to create them with these lights. Any way you could provide a version?

Absolutely love this - I’ve 3D printed the dowel version but the screws are slightly too short to stop the dowel sliding, could you possibly make a version with longer screws? I suspect it’s because the standard measurement in the UK is 25mm dowel so is slightly smaller but practically impossible to find 25.4mm dowel which is 1inch converted.

Brian H
LoftedGoods

Just added a set screw for 25mm dowels. Would you mind testing it for me? Let me know if I need to make any adjustments!

Panic

Hey! I've just printed the new one and tested it, same results, its too short to grip onto the dowel, the new and the old look very similar, from my observations it probably needs to be 1-2mm bigger!

I’ve checked and the dowel is deffo 25mm

Hope this helps!

chris t

Same here. just out of curiosity, what size is the set screw?

Panic

@LoftedGoods Are you able to make the screw longer please 🙏🏻

Panic

Sorry to double message, from the below I’ve mocked up making the dowel 2mm thicker (with tape) and the screw works a treat, so I’d suspect that might be the way forward, I really appreciate you making another screw and working with me on this 👌🏻
