This is my version of a desktop lantern. I wanted something that I could take camping, so this is powered by a single 18650 cell.

The project is pretty simple, and many people will only have to purchase the LED bulb to salvage the PCB from.

I've included a space for a buck converter in case anyone decides to use a different light emitter, and requires one. (i've built in a spot for adjusting the pot screw without opening the housing)

There is plenty of space inside the housing for mods/activities. (eg. additional batteries?)

While not considered waterproof, if you have your printer dialed in, this design IS supposed to be water resistant. I've had it out in the rain without issue. Here is a video of the lamp in action
